A message from the principal
We have reached the end of the first trimester! The year is flying by very quickly. Please remember that report cards are no longer mailed home. You can find your child's report card through Parent Vue starting on December 9th. If you are having trouble accessing your Parent Vue account, you can reach out to our help desk at (763) 506-4357 or 506help@ahschools.us.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on our Family Engagement Event. We greatly appreciate your input! We're happy to report that we received a lot of positive responses, along with valuable suggestions for next year. One common piece of feedback was the desire for a map and list of activities, and we agree that this would have been helpful. We’ll be sure to incorporate this adjustment in future events. Thank you again for helping us improve. We look forward to making next year's event even better!
Thank you to all the Veterans who were able to join us for our program. It was so wonderful to have the opportunity to honor each of you, and share our gratitude for your service. Thank you for making this a special day for our CBPA school community!
Remember there is no school for students next week. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to share how extremely grateful I am to be part of such an incredible school community. The staff, students and families sure make this a wonderful place to be! I hope you all have a fabulous and safe week, and that you get to spend time with friends and loved ones.

Winter weather reminders
Minnesota weather is shifting gears, and the Anoka-Hennepin School District has plans in place for when extreme winter weather arrives.
The safety of all students is the first priority when determining if schools should stay open in adverse weather. If a determination is made to close school due to extreme winter weather, the district will alert families in a variety of ways, including:
Text and email message from #AHSchools. (For parents/guardians only.)
District and school websites.
District and school social media pages (e.g. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).
Media outlets including WCCO, KSTP, FOX 9, KARE 11, CCX Media, WCCO radio and Star Tribune newspaper.
Those responsible for activities scheduled in schools over the weekend will determine if adverse weather conditions necessitate a cancellation.
Read more about the district’s policies on extreme winter weather at ahschools.us/weather.

Volunteer news
Please see below for what help is currently needed:
Skillbuilders (1st & 2nd grade): Skillbuilders is a program we offer students in grades kindergarten through 2nd grade. Trained volunteers come in typically once a week, during the school day and work with specific students in each of those grade levels with literacy and math comprehension activities. We are hoping to get this program started before winter break and it runs continuously throughout the school year. I am currently recruiting for volunteers to help with 1st and 2nd grade basic math skills for 1/2 hour per week. Training is provided for all interested volunteers! If you are interested in helping in math in 1st and 2nd grade, please click on the sign up genius link below for more information:
December Lunchroom: We will be continuing to have volunteers assist us in the lunchroom during the month of December. Volunteers will help with getting the students through the serving line, assisting them while they are eating, helping them during lunch dismissal and wiping down tables. The time is 11 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. However, if you are not able to commit to the entire time - that is ok - we will take whatever time you are willing to offer. Just note in your signup what time you will be volunteering! Please click on the links below to see what days help is needed:
Choir Volunteers: Choir rehearsals have started! Volunteers are needed to help Ms. Dille, our music/choir teacher with rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5. You don't have to sing or play a musical instrument to help out! For more details on the tasks involved and to sign up, please click on the link below:
