Important Dates:
Open Enrollment ends February 4, 2025!
- February 6, 2025 - District GCPS Spelling Bee
- February 17, 2025 - No School for Students and Optional Workday for Students
- JF Webb's Theater Company, The Warrior Troupe, will be performing Wizard of Oz at NGMS, on Friday and Saturday, February 21st and 22nd. Doors open at 6pm, show is at 7pm. Additional performances will be Friday, February 28th, Doors open at 6pm and show is at 7pm, and a Saturday matinee March 1st, Doors open at 1pm, show starts at 2 pm.

What is the Parent Survey?
This is an annual survey of parents of children receiving special education. It is an opportunity to report how well your school system includes you in the IEP process and the education of your child.
Your response matters! Your response lets the State and your district know how well they are doing or how they can improve parent involvement.
Did you know? Your response is anonymous. Survey Specifics This short, 2-minute survey is open between January 6 and June 30, 2025. If you don’t have a computer or smartphone, you can request a paper copy from your district.

Register today for the Family Academy, Digital Resources on February 25 at 6-7pm. Join this virtual session to gain a wealth of digital resources available to help families support their child/children academically and with internet safety. This session will be recorded. See you there!

We are grateful that Granville Health System donated over 140 coats, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters to GCPS for students who are in need! These items are available for children at all schools so please contact your child's school if these items are needed. School Social Workers and I are available to help if these items are needed. THANK YOU Granville Health System!!!!!

Below is warming center information for Granville County families who may be in transition and in need of assistance. Call 919-939-3984. Thank you to the Granville County Sheriff Dept, United Way, Oxford Police Department, Cornerstone Community Church, and other churches for providing warmth during our coldest days!!!
McKinney-Vento definition of homelessness: a child or youth is homeless who lacks a fixed, regular, or adequate night-time residence.
The following living situations "may" allow someone to qualify under McKinney-Vento law:
Living temporarily for economic reasons due to a natural disaster or fire.
Living with a friend, relative or with someone else because they lost their home or because of some other hardship.
Staying in a motel or hotel due to a lack of housing.
Living in an emergency transitional shelter or domestic violence shelter.
Staying in substandard housing.
Living in a car, park or public place, abandoned building or bus station.
Living in a campground or an inadequate trailer home.
Living in a runaway or homeless youth shelter.
Youth living on their own or with someone who is not the parent/guardian due to challenging circumstances.

GCPS Open Enrollment Application Window is now Open!
Transportation will not be provided if a student attends a school outside their attendance zone. Middle and High School Students who attend Granville Academy or Granville Early College High School must play sports at the school in their attendance zone. Transportation will be not provided for sports or extra curricular activity involvement.
Here Comes The Bus uses global positioning system (GPS) technology to locate and track your child's school bus. It is powered by software from Synovia Solutions and uses data uploaded every evening from our TIMS Department. If your student has been assigned to the bus, you can download the free app to your phone and get notifications when the bus is near to your residence or to the school your student attends. You will need your student's ID number and the school code 82346. You can get started by clicking on the following link:
