Superintendent Community Update

Superintendent's Message
Dear JUHSD Community,
As we conclude another school year today, I want to take a moment to reflect and celebrate all that we have accomplished together. This year has brought both challenges and meaningful celebrations, and through it all, our students and staff have shown remarkable resilience and dedication.
One of the most inspiring aspects of this year has been the continued effort to build and nurture a school culture rooted in safety, kindness, and acceptance. These values are not just ideals—they are lived out every day across our campuses, thanks to the care and commitment of our entire school community.
To our graduating seniors—the Class of 2025—congratulations! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and excited for all that lies ahead for you. Your hard work and perseverance have set a powerful example for those who follow.
As we head into the summer months, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy well-deserved time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming students back for the 2025–2026 school year on August 7, 2025.
Wishing you all a safe and restorative summer.
Warm Regards,
Toni Presta
JUHSD Superintendent

Local Control Accountability Plan
Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF)
The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is California's new funding system that allows school districts to direct resources and services to meet the needs of low-income students, English learners, and foster youth. LCFF requires each school district to adopt a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) that shows how funds will be spent to provide high-quality educational programs and improve student outcomes.
Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
The Local Control Accountability Plan is a three-year district plan that details how funds will be spent to improve student outcomes. The LCAP must address the Eight State Priorities and include stakeholder engagement, goals and progress indicators, and actions, services, and expenditures.
