Today we finished our last full week of school in spectacular fashion: WITH FIELD DAY!
A special shoutout to Mrs. Rausenberger and Mrs. Ketelsen for their time and effort in organizing the day with fun-filled activities for students and staff alike!
Make sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 23 as the last day of student attendance. Students will be bringing home their school supplies, clothes, and other belongings that day as well.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Sometimes over summer break children may say that they are bored. Here are some tips for when they think they are bored:
Are they hungry or tired? Sometimes a lack of energy can make them feel blah. Make sure they are getting plenty of sleep and eating healthy food.
Are they in a rut? Doing the same thing day in and day out can get tiring. Mix it up by changing things a bit. Eating the family meal in a different spot, making their own creative snacks, or making their own creative crafts may help.
Are they glued to their technology? Mobile devices and gaming provide an easy distraction, but creativity comes easier when they are unplugged. Ask the whole family to put the technology down for 30 minutes and see where it takes you.
4A Made Chain Reaction Machines
4A has been learning about energy in the last week. We have discussed how energy is transferred. We also have been working on simple machines in STEM time. We put these concepts together to create compound machines.
JA Presenter ROCKS in 4A!
Mrs. Jill Pessman presented the JA Program on economic awareness to 4A. We wrapped up the program with learning about the expenses and profit of a hot dog stand. Then Mrs. Pessman brought in a hot dog picnic for the students to enjoy. We want to thank her for the amazing job she does at presenting the program and keeping the students interested with rewards and prizes. THANK YOU!

Looking for Parent Feedback - 5 minute survey
This was the first year implementation of the Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH) program at FES. We have seen improvements in many areas with students and staff, but would like to hear from families in regards to what they have experienced this school year.
If you have a couple minutes, we would greatly appreciate your feedback on the following survey: https://iheartckh.com/squrl/8rqfebtt
