FBLA- HHS Thanksgiving Food Drive
Many local families need this food now more than ever.
Students/teachers will bring in donations to first block teachers. FBLA will pick up donated items as needed. All food donated goes directly to our Heritage families and the extra goes to needy families in the community.
The TOP 1st Block class will receive a Pizza/Coke party courtesy of FBLA.
Any non-perishable food item will be accepted. Ramen Noodles will be accepted BUT WILL NOT COUNT TOWARD YOUR CLASS TOTAL.
It will remain a competitive event, as usual, with the winning first block teacher (Coach) enjoying bragging rights for a year. Dr Shipley, Mrs Lewis, Mrs Wilson, Ms Sawyer, Mrs Petteys and Coach Broom would be happy to share with you their tips for winning.
Over 2,500 food items were donated last year and hundreds of dollars were donated. We look forward to surpassing those numbers this year. Monetary donations will also count 2 food items for every $1 given.

School Safety Is A Priority
Parents, please help your students understand the importance of being aware of their surroundings. Please encourage your child to say something if they see or hear something that sounds un-safe or potentially dangerous. A courageous student willing to report something suspicious can make all the difference. This is something they should practice inside and outside of school to ensure their safety.
Everyone Is Responsible For School Safety
Students who see or hear something suspicious have many options when it comes to reporting what they see. Make sure they know they can report to an administrator, a teacher, a school counselor, or an adult they trust. They can also text hello to 741-741. Leaders cannot act on information they don't have so please encourage your student report what they see and hear if it is suspicious or dangerous. We're better together!
Arriving After 8:15???
Any student arriving after 8:15 am will need to enter through the front office. CCA, Work-Based Learning, and Dual Enrollment students who arrive on campus after 8:15 will need enter the building through the front office. We have posted signs at the gym entrance to let students know this as well.
Purchase Your Parking Permits ASAP...

Parents, We Need Your Help!
Heritage Parents,
One of the biggest needs for HHS is to find people willing to become bus drivers for Catoosa County Schools. Please help us to continue to get the word out so that we can find and train courteous, reliable, safe and professional bus drivers! We need you to spread the word! Please speak with your friends, family and neighbors to see if they may know of anyone interested in becoming a part of our outstanding team.
