September 2, 2024 - Labor Day (No school)

If your child is a car rider, please read the procedures for arrival and dismissal. This ensures that all parents, students and staff are safe during these times.

Woodward Mill is excited to invite you to our upcoming Curriculum Night!

Date: Thursday August 22, 2024 (5:00pm to 7:00pm).

• Session 1 - 5:10pm to 5:50pm
• Session 2 - 6:10pm to 6:50pm

This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your child's teacher(s), learn more about our curriculum, and ask any questions you may have. Teachers will also share ways that you can support your child's learning at home.

Your involvement is crucial to your child's success, and we look forward to partnering with you this year.

• Orientations will begin the first week of school. All students receive weekly access to the media center.

• Our Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge ended on July 31, 2024.
• We hope to have many readers to celebrate at our summer reading celebration in September.
• The GCPS Book Mobile will visit our school to reward students with a free book of their choice.
• The next Beanstack Reading Challenge will begin in September!

Wednesday - Chicken wings, French bread, yogurt basket

Thursday - Pizza, veggie burger, hummus basket

Friday - Chicken drumstick, BBQ pork, yogurt basket

* Please note that all menu items for both breakfast and lunch are subject to change due to supply shortages.

Families must complete the Free & Reduced Lunch Application every year to qualify for free and reduced lunch prices.

Woodward Mill would like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous business partners that support the students and teachers at our school. Our business partners support our school in various ways such as sponsoring after-school clubs, providing teacher appreciation gifts, donating supplies, and mentoring students.

A new list of the 2024-2025 Business Partners will be published soon. It is never too late to join!

One of Woodward Mill's very own, "Lightning" Luke Charles, qualified and competed in the Junior Olympics at Texas A&M - College Station, TX, for the Boys 9/10 Long Jump in July! is currently the 2024 Silver Medalist for the State of GA and for the region!

During this event, he competed against 56 other kids across the country. At the end of the competition, we can confirm that he is ranked 11th IN THE NATION for the Long Jump!

Woodward Mill celebrates him and congratulates him on this amazing achievement. He has done us proud.
