Hello CBA Elementary Families,
We want to extend a huge thank you to all who referred families to attend our Open House. Your support and positive word-of-mouth have helped us spread the good word about our school and helps us grow our community!
Thank you to Mrs. Sareen and all of our family volunteers for the amazing Diwali celebration. It was a wonderful success! We were thrilled to share the beauty and significance of this cultural festival with our entire school community. Thank you to all who participated and helped make the event so special.
We are excited to announce the installation of our new Story Walk! Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated PAC and our wonderful school community, we now have a beautiful outdoor reading experience. This Story Walk will be a highlight of our upcoming Outdoor Classroom Day and a wonderful addition to our outdoor space. The Story Walk was purchased with funds raised by our PAC through CBA community events and fundraisers. We appreciate your support. Stay tuned for details on this year's Pavillion project!
Our CBA PAC was at it again today as they hosted a spook-tacular Halloween Parade and Party. The costumes were amazing, the games were loads of fun, and the treats were delicious! We are incredibly grateful to our PAC for organizing such a memorable event for our students. Congratulations to our teacher costume contest winner, Mr. Stephen!
Picture Day is Monday! Students should wear regular uniforms. We will take individual photos for the yearbook. But before that, let's have a little fun! Check out the throwback staff photos below and guess who's who. We'll reveal the answers on Monday!
Election Day is on Tuesday! All students will have the exciting opportunity to vote as they choose between a sweet treat, extra recess, or a dress-down day. Thank you to our 5th Grade students for their wonderful election day speeches. Stay tuned for the results!

Lion of the Week!
Second Grader, Hailey F., is this week's Lion of the Week. Not only is she a dedicated student, but she is also a kind and worthy friend. Every day, Hailey comes to school with the mindset of how she can be a better student, a better friend, and an overall a better person.
Hailey has been practicing the school pledge every single day, demonstrating her commitment to the values it represents. She practices being safe both in and out of the classroom, and she also influences others to do the same. Hailey respects the classroom as if it were her own home, and she also respects the space and boundaries of others.
Hailey tries her best every single day, and when she makes a mistake, she proactively asks how to correct it. Without a doubt, she follows through and makes the necessary corrections.
This is why Hailey is this week's Lion of the Week.

November Health Screenings
Dear CBA Families,
The PA Departments of Health and Education mandate annual student health screenings are provided as a part of the School Health Services Program. A WCASD nurse will be visiting our school on November 13th and 14th to perform these screenings for our students. A report with your child’s results will be provided for your review. We encourage you to keep this record and/or share with your physician. Referral letters will be sent when vision or hearing results do not meet the standard range of normal.
The standard screenings to be performed are listed below:
* Vision – Far & Near Acuity – All grades yearly, plus Lens & Color – 1st grade, Stereo/Depth Perception – 2nd grade.
NOTE: The vision screenings are not a substitute for a comprehensive eye examination by an eye care specialist. The American Optometric Association recommends eye examinations every two years during the school age years.
* Hearing - Grades K-3
* Height/Weight - All grades
* BMI - All grades
Please feel free to contact the WCASD school nurse at 484-266-1306 with any questions.
Thank you
