May 2025

White Pine Families,
We’re rounding the corner and heading toward summer break! As we wrap up the year, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our newly formed PTO for their incredible support during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5th–9th. Their efforts to recognize our amazing teachers mean so much.
I am beyond proud of the work our team has accomplished this year. From the daily dedication of our teachers and support staff to the joy and curiosity our students bring into the building each day, it has been an inspiring year filled with growth, connection, and success. The collaboration between home and school continues to be a powerful force in helping our students thrive. Your involvement—whether volunteering, attending events, or offering words of encouragement—has helped shape a school environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. Thank you for being such an important part of this journey.
On a personal note, I want to thank you for the kind notes and support I've received—it's truly been a pleasure serving the students and families of White Pine. As I transition with our incoming principal, Mrs. Courtright, it has been a joy to share how wonderful and supportive our community is. She is excited to get started and brings with her an impressive skill set that will serve our school well.
We hope you have a restful, joyful summer break!
Warm Regards,
Steve Novotny
Principal

FREE Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 8:15 am to 8:40 am.
We do not have any supervision on the playground before 8:15 am.
Menu can be found below.
Please remember that arrival time for White Pine Elementary School students is between 8:20 and 8:40 am. In order to ensure appropriate supervision each morning, students should not arrive before 8:20 a.m. as staff are not on duty yet. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m.
Dismissal is at 3:15 pm. During dismissal, it is extremely important for parents of car riders to remain in vehicles. Please do not stop abruptly in a non-parking area. This creates a back up and is not safe for your student or other students to cross.
Please avoid congregating near the entrance of the school as this creates confusion for students. Thank you for following these procedures to support a safe, efficient dismissal each day.
