Dear Opequon Elementary School Community:
Berkeley County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebekah Eyler as principal of Opequon Elementary School.
The 2024-2025 school year will mark 30 years of experience as a professional educator for Mrs. Eyler, all with Berkeley County Schools. She spent eight years as a teacher and 21 years in school administration. Eyler is a Berkeley County Schools graduate and holds college degrees from Shepherd University and West Virginia University.
"I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to embark on this new adventure in my career at the primary level," said Eyler. "This stage in student development is critically important, and I am committed to supporting both staff and students alike."
"My aim is to cultivate an environment where a love for learning is nurtured, ensuring it becomes a lasting foundation for their future endeavors," continued Eyler.
"Mrs. Eyler is an exceptional adminstrator who will greatly contribute to our students' success and uphold our belief in providing a Model school experience for all students," said Lewis Mullenax, BCS Executive Director of Elementary Education. "Her expertise and dedication will ensure that every student receives the support they deserve to thrive academically and personally."
