LPAC Middle of Year Guidance
Important Reminders:
Train all LPAC members using the LPAC Decisions Educator Guide and associated training presentation found on the TEA LPAC webpage.
Meet as an LPAC to make participation and designated support decisions for state assessments of emergent bilingual (EB) students. Remember that:
- For end-of-course (EOC) assessments, designated support decisions can be carried over from the fall to the spring and summer administrations.
Coordinate with
- content area teachers of emergent bilingual students to make designated support decisions based on classroom instruction and students’ linguistic needs
- the ARD committee for students receiving Special Education services
- other specialized committees, such as the Section 504 Committee, Response to Intervention (RTI) team, or the appropriate team of people at the campus level for eligible students

TELPAS Window is 2/17/25 - 3/28/25
If they are identified as an EB student in TIDE, they are automatically eligible for TELPAS online.
All TELPAS testing must be complete and ALL holistic ratings entered into DEI (or TIDE via a data upload) no later than 11:59 p.m. (CDT) on 3/28/25.

TELPAS Key dates for 2024-2025
Starting this school year, TELPAS initial orders will include TELPAS Test administrator manuals, and TELPAS paper reading test materials (regular print, large print, and braille) based on the number of students registered by due date.
