• By the end of today, students and parent/guardians will receive a Zoom link from the ADVISORY TEACHER. The name of your Advisory teacher shows up as your HOMEROOM teacher in Parent/StudentVUE.

• ADVISORY LIVE ZOOM SESSION STARTS @ 8:15 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
  
• Students will be in Advisory from 8:15 - 11:00 AM on the first day of school.
  
• From 11:30 - 2:15 students should be working independently on the CMMS Independent Learning Course that is intended to prepare them for distance learning. The purpose is to make sure they know how to access all the important aspects of distance learning, and to provide them with tools to get organized. ALL STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO SELF-ENROLL IN THE COURSE.

On 9/3 and 9/4 from 11:30am-2:30pm is independent learning time. We have created a course that will guide and instruct students on all things related to distance learning. All CMMS students were invited to the course titled "Asynchronous Advisory Lessons" and students can access this course in a few ways...

• Option 1 TRY FIRST: Check your Gmail for the course invite and follow the instructions to accept the course in Canvas.

ParentVUE is where you see schedules and all things related to your student. Please be sure you login and update contact information, and confirm you can see your child's schedule under the "classes" tab.

Click into the form below, and it will prompt you to make a copy. As your teachers email you your Zoom links you can fill it out so you can keep it all organized. Remember you can check your schedule in ParentVUE or StudentVUE under the "classes" tab. Match the period to the teacher's name and enter the information into this form.

All students have what is called their myBethel credentials, they are as follows...

LOGIN:

Student ID Number (Example: 367109)

PASSWORD:

Formatted Student Birthday (Example: jun-23-2007)

• All students should have GMAIL, CANVAS and ZOOM downloaded before school starts
  
• Students are able to download apps from Self-Service which houses the apps available and approved for all Bethel students. Do not try to download apps from the regular app store.
  
• if you turn on your iPad after it has been off for a long time it may say that it can't connect. You can manually connect to wifi by going to settings<wifi. The iPad has missed several updates and will start updating as soon as it is connected to wifi.
  

• If your iPad is locked or in lost mode - call 253-683-8095 or email tbooth@bethelsd.org.

• Your apple id is a 4 digit code that you created when you logged into your iPad. If you received your iPad from CMMS this summer school then we defaulted your apple id to your four digit birth year.

• If you turn on your iPad and are ever prompted to enter your apple id password please enter your four digit passcode. Do not keep hitting "cancel" to bypass this prompt. Your iPad will not sync up as it should. If you don't know your apple id passcode then type in 1234. This will lead you to another screen prompting you to reset your apple id passcode.
• If you turn on your iPad and nothing happens - charge it. It may be dead. Many iPads came back to us with very low batteries.
