Quote
"He wanted to recover something, some idea of himself perhaps, that had gone into loving Daisy. His life had been confused and disordered since then, but if he could once return to a certain starting place and go over it all slowly, he could find out what that thing was." Chapter 6 Bottom of page 111
The Explanation
The reason why I picked this quote above all others is the fact that it describes how Gatsby feels about Daisy. How he wants things to be the way they were back when they were in Louisville. This explains Gatsby the most because, this shows that Gatsby has never stopped loving her. Another reason why I think that this is a very important quote is for the basic fact that the whole book is basically about how he tries to win Daisy's heart back.
West Egg
This is what I imagine Gatsby's mansion looking like. How he was always the person to talk to if you wanted a party. How every Monday he would have a group of workers and servants come and repair what the party had destroyed not even 12 hours previous to the arrival. Its a very nice mansion with a huge garden.
Gatsbys money
Gatsby had a very large amount of money that he inherited. This shows what $50,000 would look like and when you take that by 3 or 4 that how much you would need to get into west egg. This just shows that Gatsby was very conservative with his money and that he can do what ever his heart desires with all this money.
