The Snow Forecast #4
September 15, 2024
Hello, Families!
Our first full week of school is complete! Everyone seems to be settling in to school routines nicely. Drop and pick up are going more smoothly, and buses are arriving in a more timely manner.
I'm not sure we could've had more beautiful weather. We completed 2 fire drills, which totals us at 4 so far. 🎉
Please remember that drop off of your child begins at 8:40. If you arrive a bit early, we ask that you wait either in your car, or outside the fenced in area until a duty teacher comes out to supervise your child.
If your child wishes to play after school, we also ask that you wait until all buses have departed before you re-enter the fenced in area to play. Thank you!
A reminder that if you have not completed the first day paperwork, please do so & return it as soon as possible. We need it to update emergency information.

RAM Stickers
If your child has been coming home with a RAM sticker, this is new to Mary Snow this year! Each time your child receives a RAM award, they get a sticker. They can receive a RAM award for demonstrating one of the following:
- Respectful
- Accountable
- Motivated
- Safe
Then on Friday, we draw 5 names from each grade level to come and choose either a prize or an experience (for example, lunch with a friend, homework pass, etc.).
I've seen RAM stickers on water bottles, shirts, notebooks, and lunch boxes! It helps staff around the building ask students what they got a RAM award for and also so parents at home know your child is being recognized for the RAMS behavior at school.
Mary Snow Mileage Club Has Begun!
Mileage Club is an optional activity offered during recess. It is a non-competitive, incentive based movement program where students enhance their fitness by walking or running on a quarter mile trail outside around the school. Students carry a mileage club card and get their card punched by Mrs. Poisson after completing each lap. Students earn foot tokens and certificates for miles completed. We are off to a great start with lots of student participation!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
We strive for 95% weekly
Week of: September 9, 2024
GRADE 4- 95.5%
GRADE 5- 93.6%
TOTAL- 94.6%
At the end of each month, we will be celebrating attendance!
It is so important for your child to attend school. Each lesson that is taught builds on previous skills, so if lessons are missed, crucial pieces needed for academic success may start to be missing also.
Attendance is important for social development through learning how to interact with peers and adults in a different setting than the home.
AND...We love having your child at school!
