AVA Newsletter

We continued to explore at AVA during the second trimester and are very excited about all of the awesome teaching & learning experiences that are happening every day! February has been a fantastic month, and we are so grateful to collaborate with the Salinas Community Science Workshop AND LEGO Education for hands-on explorations both on campus and for sending kits home with students each month. Here are some AVA in Action highlights for February:

Students set individual and class goals, reflect, celebrate accomplishments, AND contribute ideas for our Student Store!

• Women's History Month

• Pi Day on March 14, 2023

• Alisal Virtual Academy Website - Please share with other families whose child(ren) may be interested in attending AVA, which is Alisal’s alternative school of choice.

• myON - is a student-centered, personalized digital library that gives students access to more than 7,000 enhanced digital books in the core collection.

• Paper Tutoring - Tutoring service for students in 2nd-6th grade

• CA State Parks Adventure Pass (4th Grade)

• Salinas Public Library
