Smoke-Free Community
For the health and safety of all students, staff, and families, smoking is not permitted while in the parent pick-up and drop-off lines. We ask that all drivers and passengers refrain from smoking on school grounds to maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community healthy!
Grade 5: Machu Picchu - Ancient City
Students in Ms. Musnicki's 5th Grade class are learning to contrast different points of view while studying Machu Picchu. After reading articles from two different authors, students were able to explore the question "how do we explain what happened in the past?"
Grade 6: Persuasive Letters
Each year, students in Mr. Brach's 6th-grade English class select a topic they’re passionate about and craft persuasive letters. They send these letters to senators, representatives, governors, and school leaders—Ms. Thompson, Ms. Sears, and Dr. Lovato—hoping to inspire real change in their world.
Grade 4: Advances in Food Science
Ms. Walker's 4th grade class continue their study of Advances in Food Science by discussing organic versus non-organic foods and turning "Food Deserts" into "Food Forests". Students used their critical thinking skills to define these terms and discuss how science can be both helpful and harmful.
