May πΌ
Note from the Principal π
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we step into the vibrant month of May, I am thrilled to share with you the exciting events lined up at Steele. It's hard to believe how swiftly the academic year has flown by, and it's with great joy that we approach these final milestones.
πΆ Spring Concert: On May 14th, from 9:00 to 9:40 am, we invite all classes to join us for our Spring Concert. Our talented students will showcase their musical talents, filling the air with melodies and rhythms that are sure to delight.
π 5th Grade Promotion: A monumental moment awaits our fifth-grade students on May 20th at 5:30 pm. Join us as we celebrate their accomplishments and bid them farewell as they embark on their middle school journey. However, we are lucky enough to have some 5th grade students returning to Steel to become our very first 6th-grade cohort. We feel lucky to have them back on campus, continuing their educational journey with us.
π Kinder Celebration: We can't forget our youngest learners! On May 21st at 1:00 pm in the cafeteria, we'll be hosting a Kinder Celebration to honor our kindergarten students and their achievements throughout the year.
ππ Last Day of School: Finally, mark your calendars for May 23rd, the Last Day of School. It's a time for reflection, celebration, and bidding farewell to another wonderful academic year.
As always, we encourage you to participate in these events and share in the joy of our students' successes. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.
Wishing you all a fantastic month ahead!
Warm regards,
Principal Harris

Student of the Month ππ
This May, our educators are shifting their focus to celebrate the power of creativity! Throughout the month, they'll be on the lookout for students who showcase remarkable ingenuity and originality in their endeavors, both inside and outside the classroom.
Parents, we warmly invite you to join us in nurturing an environment at home where creativity is not only valued but also celebrated. Let's embark on imaginative journeys, tackle new challenges, and embrace the boundless creativity within ourselves and our children. Together, let's empower our students to unleash their creative spirits and fearlessly explore the depths of their imagination!
Who knows? Your child could be the next shining star recognized as our Student of the Month for their remarkable creativity! π

Ms. Woll: CCP Teacher
Hi there! I'm Ms. Woll, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this elementary newsletter. Blue has always been my favorite color; it just soothes my soul. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me soaking up the sun on the Pacific beach, it's my happy place. As a die-hard Wildcat fan, I bring that same passion and enthusiasm into my teaching, making learning fun and engaging for my students. With 12 years of experience in TUSD, including seven amazing years of teaching, I'm dedicated to shaping young minds and creating a nurturing learning environment for all. Thank you and Bear Down! π»ππ
