The WJHS Panther Pride Newsletter
Nov. 8, 2024
Principals Newsletter
Dear Panther Families,
Monday, November 11, is Veteran's Day. On this day, let’s take a moment to reach out to veterans in our community, whether it’s through a simple thank-you, attending a local Veterans Day event, or learning more about the history and stories of those who have served. Small gestures of appreciation can mean a lot to those dedicated to serving the country. We want to take a moment to appreciate one of our very own, Mr. Prysny, who served our country in the Marines. THANK YOU, Mr. Prysny, for your service.
So, let’s remember the significance of Veterans Day, honor our veterans, and carry forward their legacy of service and commitment.
A Great Big Welcome to Our Taiwan Exchange Students
We’re thrilled to introduce our new exchange students from Taiwan! They bring with them unique perspectives and stories from their home country, and we're excited to learn from each other as they settle into our school community.
Several of our students have volunteered as buddies to help our new friends adjust to life at our school, showing them around and introducing them to new friends. Thank you to everyone helping to make them feel welcome.
Please join us in welcoming our Taiwanese exchange students! Let’s make their experience memorable and full of learning for us all.
Michael P, a WJHS social media team member, sat down and talked to Ms. Irene, their teacher from Taiwan, who is accompanying them on this trip. Check out his interview on our Facebook Page.
