This month at Washington Elementary, we’re highlighting integrity—doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, and striving to be your best self in all that you do. Integrity means being honest, trustworthy, and consistent in your actions, but it also includes putting forth your best effort and holding yourself to a high standard, even when it would be easier not to.
We encourage students to show integrity by owning their choices, treating others with respect, and working hard—even when no one is checking. Whether it’s staying focused during independent work, helping a classmate without being asked, or admitting a mistake, integrity helps build strong character and a strong community.
At home, you can support this word of the month by recognizing when your child gives their best effort or chooses honesty in a tough moment. Talk about how integrity means doing what's right and doing your best, every day. Together, we can help our students become people of character and excellence.
