Mr. Cordova's students engage in physical activity every day while in their PE class; however, movement should not just be restricted to the PE class. Research shows that physical activity increases oxygen in the blood and this oxygen is related to enhancing learning and memory. Five Movement Strategies in the High School Classroom gives strategies that also can be used effectively with middle school students.

4 Corners: Video 1:51 Students are asked a question or are presented with a statement. Each corner has a response and students choose one and explain why they chose this "corner."
This activity promotes speaking, critical thinking and problem solving skills. It can be used at any time during the lesson!
