August 2024
A message from Mr. Rose
Dear Wilson Community,
Welcome back to an exciting new school year, 2024-2025! I hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating summer break, filled with memorable moments and well-deserved relaxation. As we gear up for another fantastic year, I am thrilled to introduce our theme: "Wilson Family Road Trip: Destination Academic Success."
Just as a family road trip brings everyone together, fosters connection, and takes us on a journey filled with learning and adventure, we will embark on a collective journey towards academic excellence. Our destination is clear: ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential and achieves academic success.
In the spirit of a road trip, we will navigate this year with enthusiasm, determination, and a sense of camaraderie. Each of us plays a crucial role in guiding our students along their educational paths, providing them with the support, encouragement, and tools they need to succeed. Let's embrace this journey together, celebrating milestones and overcoming challenges as a united Wilson Family.
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I encourage you to:
- Build Strong Connections: Just like the bonds formed during a family road trip, let's strengthen our connections with students, parents, and each other. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
- Stay Focused on Our Destination: Keep our goal of academic success at the forefront of everything we do. Align your efforts with our district's vision and mission, ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education.
- Embrace the Journey: Enjoy the process of teaching and learning. Celebrate the small victories and learn from the challenges. Remember, every step we take brings us closer to our destination.
- Support One Another: Lean on your colleagues for support and collaboration. Share your expertise, resources, and innovative ideas. Together, we can overcome any obstacles that come our way.
I am confident that with our collective dedication, passion, and teamwork, we will make this school year a remarkable success. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and our district. Let's hit the road and make this "Wilson Family Road Trip" a journey to remember!
Here's to a fantastic year ahead, filled with growth, achievement, and unforgettable experiences.
Wilson Primary School
We are thrilled to start the new year again! We hope you had a restful summer and eager to return to school. During the summer we held two programs for our youngest scholars. We had the summer academy in June. The purpose of the summer academy was to provide additional instructional support for extra few weeks during the summer to prevent the summer lags. With the partnership with ASU/PBS, we also held the Super Why Summer Camp for our incoming kindergartners in July. These youngest scholars learned about what it is like to be in school. They learned, they played, and they made unforgettable memories with their new friends and teachers. As these new kindergarteners come on campus on August 5th, they are prepped and ready for the new year!
We want to grow our Wilson Family. If you know of any families looking for an outstanding and impactful educational institution, please send them to our district website for our online registration QR code.
Open House is on August 1st from 4:00-6:00. Come meet your new teacher!
Looking forward to a great year!

Wilson Elementary School
Welcome back to the new year. We are excited to start the new year. I am honored to be the principal of Wilson Elementary School this year. Over the last several months, our Leadership Team and I have been working diligently to put systems and structures in place for the new year to ensure that we provide the optimal educational environment for our students. We are excited to share with you some of the initiatives and additions at the Elementary School:
- Year 2 of PBIS initiative
- New AVID team to lead us in the AVID initiative
- Addition of instructional support: Dean of Students, ELD Coach, and New Teacher Mentor
- New sports offering
- New elective classes: Audio Visual/Yearbook class
- New bell schedules
In addition to these exciting initiatives and additions, we welcomed our newest members to the Wilson Family last week. Our instructional Coaching Team planned an amazing New Teacher Induction Week to prepare the new teachers acclimated to our schools and systems. The training they received helped them ease their minds as they intentionally planned their daily schedule, routines and procedures. We are extremely fortunate to have so many new teachers who are eager to meet their students and make a positive impact to each of them.
Let’s have a great year!

Human Resources
Dear Wilson Community,
My name is Jevon Lewis and I am thrilled to join this amazing community as the Human Resources Director. As many know, Mr. Dumas has retired, and I have the privilege of continuing his wonderful legacy. I am very excited and eager to work alongside you and look forward to meeting each of you.
A little bit about me. I have been in Education since 1997, in various roles: Teacher (5th, 7th, 8th), principal and K-12 campus director. I love to read, go for walks and spend time with my family. When you talk to me, you will often here me say "It's the best day of my life," as I truly strive to make everyday a "Best Day."
Starting a new position can be both exhilarating and a bit overwhelming, but every day brings amazing opportunities to learn and grow!
I look forward to contributing to the Wilson Road Trip: Destination- Academic Success! Being that I am an educator, if you see me walking around or visiting classrooms, I am just enjoying the educational atmosphere!
Whether you have questions, need guidance, or simply want to get to know me, please don't hesitate to reach out.
See you soon!
