๐ Message from the Principal ๐
We are just two weeks away from the first progress report of 2025! This is a great time for students to check their grades, complete any missing assignments, and take advantage of tutoring or extra credit opportunities. Progress reports are an important checkpoint, giving students and families a clear picture of where they stand and what steps they can take to improve before final grades. I encourage all students to be proactiveโattend tutoring, ask questions, and put in the extra effort now so there are no surprises later. Parents, please check in with your child and support them in creating a plan for success. Together, we can ensure that every Viking is on the path to achieving their best!
I want to take a minute to give a shout out to our boys and girls soccer programs! The season has come to an end, but I'm proud of our student-athletes and how hard they worked this season! We hope to see you out there next season playing flag football, volleyball, or running track! Kudos to Coach Ortega and Coach Barajas for their dedication and hard work this season!
Just a friendly reminder, we have no school this Friday or next Monday in honor of Presidents Day. Please plan accordingly!!
Let's make it a great week, Vikings!! ๐

This week, the counselors from Mar Vista High and Southwest High will be on campus to register our 8th graders for their 9th grade electives. This will be done through Social Science classes. Parents, just a friendly reminder that if you want your child to transfer to the school they are not zoned for, you have to register for your zoned school first, then apply for a transfer to the other school. The transfer window closes in 2 weeks, so you'll want to do that asap! Please call our Registrar if you have any questions!
