Note from Principal Hayes
Dear Cedar Grove Families,
Happy New Year!
I hope you’re feeling rested and ready to embrace the possibilities of a fresh start. As we begin the second semester, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and all we’ll achieve together.
The new year and semester are perfect times for reflection and renewal. It’s a chance for students to set new goals, build on past successes, and face challenges with determination. At Cedar Grove Middle School, we are dedicated to providing an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our expectations remain high because we believe in our students’ potential. Whether it’s arriving on time, staying engaged in class, or striving for improvement, every effort matters in achieving personal and school-wide goals.
Families, your partnership is vital. Open communication, encouragement, and involvement at home are key to your child’s success. Together, we can ensure Cedar Grove is a supportive community where every child excels.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll share updates on events, milestones, and opportunities for engagement. If you have questions or need assistance, please reach out to your child’s teachers or our team.
Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, achievement, and community! Thank you for being part of our journey as we cultivate tomorrow’s leaders by striving for excellence today.
Here’s to a fantastic second semester!
Warm regards,
Principal Hayes

CTE News
Mrs. Harmon’s 7th grade classes were engaged in Artificial Reality with Assistance from Ms. Alicia Valand, Digital Learning Specialist for BCS the week prior to Winter Break.
The students were on the “trading floor” of the NYSE where selling and buying of stock takes place. Students also experienced the Bell Station that rings to open and close the NYSE daily and the entrance of the building from “Wall Street.” This was one of several activities that closed the unit of the impact of the Stock Market on our US economy.
