Wonderful Celina Early Childhood Parents,

Teachers sent out their welcome letters yesterday. Please check your inbox for important information and to sign up for a 30 minute session with your teacher on Monday's Meet the Teacher.

If you DID NOT receive an email, this means your registration is not complete due to lacking proper immunization shot records. Your child will not be able to start school or be assigned a teacher until these records are complete.

Please contact Nurse Carrie Moore TODAY for details about what you are missing. Our goal is to have you be able to attend Meet the Teacher on Monday for a great start to the school year.

You should have received an email from your child's teacher yesterday! We will hold our Meet The Teacher on August 12th between 2:30-4:30PM. In your child's email, she sent a sign up link to select a timeframe to bring your child to visit their new classroom and meet their teacher. We ask that you be on time and stick to your selected time so that every family gets a more personalize time with their teacher!

If you have not received an email, this means your registration is not complete and your child has not been assigned a teacher. Immunizations is the common piece that is missing. Check your Skyward account and if you have any questions, call the front office for help .

You are welcome to walk your child to the classroom on the first day. Starting the second day, students will work on independence to get to their class. Staff will be available to assist, so prepare your child for this expectation in advance!

Happy Friday ECS parents! Are you ready for the big day? Of course you are! You have been preparing yourself and your child for the big adventure that is about to begin. In just a few short days they will take a huge step in growing up and we at school will be ready to encourage them and praise them for their courage. Courage is one of the first character traits we will be talking about in my class lessons. It takes a lot of courage to try new things. I will also be visiting classes letting students know my title, counselor, and what a counselor does. I think the most important thing a counselor does is listen. That is why I also introduce myself by reading, “The Rabbit Listened” by Cori Doerrfeld.

I would also like to introduce myself to those parents I have yet to meet. My name is Jeanne Juneau. I am the counselor at ECS and I have been a counselor for many years. I live in Celina and love my community. I am here to listen to parents,too. If I can help in some way please contact me, jeannejuneau@celinaisd.com. Arrival in the AM:

You can drop off in either the front or back car line.

PLEASE stay IN your car at all times. A staff member will assist your child out of the car and into the building

You are welcome to park in the front parking lot and walk your child up using the crosswalk. Do not cross through all the cars for safety purposes.

Dismissal in the PM:

Find your teacher's name and follow the red arrows on the map.

Front car line will enter from Preston Road

Back car line will enter from East Malone, not Preston.

Hang the car tag given to you at Meet the Teacher on your rear view mirror with child's name and teacher.

• Create a SchoolCafe Account: As we prepare for the new school year, please ensure that you complete the Free & Reduced Meal Application through School Cafe to allow eligible students to access free or reduced meals starting on the first day of school. All menus will be available online via School Cafe. Since it may take a few days for new students' information to transfer from Skyward to School Cafe, please either send money with your child or provide lunch during their initial days. Additionally, remember to add funds to your returning student's School Cafe account before the school year begins. This can be completed using this link: https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD.

1) If you pre-ordered through EPI, your supply packs will be in the classroom on Meet the Teacher on August 12th.

2) If you want to order online, you can still do so, but the supply pack will be shipped directly to your house. Order now with our School ID of CEL006 at https://www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks/

3) If you want to do your own shopping, the Supply List is below.

Lunch visitors may begin coming on Monday, October 1st. We ask that you please follow these rules when visiting:

1. Check-in at the front office and obtain a visitor sticker.

2. Please sit at the designated visitor tables.

3. You may only share and provide food for your child.

4. Only your child may sit with you.

5. Lunch visitors may not walk students to class, go inside classrooms, student restrooms, or other areas in the building.

6. Taking pictures or video of students is prohibited. 📵

• All medically and developmentally able students are expected to handle their own toileting (knowing when they need to use the restroom, asking or stating that need, handle clothing removal/replacement, and change clothes if needed) and cleaning (wiping properly, washing hands) on their own or with verbal cues alone.

• Please send your student to school in clothes that are easy for them to pull up/down or take on/off for unaided or minimally aided restroom use.

• Those students that require a change of clothing related to toileting accidents, spills, and/or food mishaps will wait in the classroom to minimize loss of instructional time unless deemed necessary to move the student to an alternative location for the student’s comfort.
  

• Provide 3 sets of clothing: 2 sets (include 2 pairs of underwear, and any combination of the following: shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, or shorts and socks) Please place these in a zip lock storage bag with the student’s name, class, and teacher’s name on the bag. This will be left at school. The 3rd set of clothing should remain in your student’s backpack.
  It is highly recommended that extra shoes be provided as well.

• You, as the parent or legal guardian, may be asked to come and assist with changing your student if necessary.
