Battle Creek Quick Updates
March 6, 2025
Greetings Battle Creek Middle School Families,
Thank you for helping with E-Learning Day on Wednesday. It was a bit challenging for some of our students to navigate, but eventually they found their way to their classes. It has been a little while since we had an E-Learning Day so our students and teachers are out of practice, but overall, it went as well as it possible could for the first E-Learning day this year.
With school pivoting to an E-Learning day on Wednesday, our Spring parent/teacher conferences has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 19 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. This is the last conference of the school year, so we hope to see everyone there. If this time and date does not work for your family’s schedule, you can always get progress report from your student’s teacher by emailing them individually.
With Spring Break around the corner, our 8th graders who will be going to Washington D.C. are revving up final fundraising efforts. The DC students will host the annual BCMS staff versus student basketball game on Thursday, March 13. All snack sales will go towards remaining cost. Please come watch the much-anticipated game and buy snacks to support our DC students. This is the trip of a lifetime for them so we would appreciate your support to make this a reality for them.
Does your daily commute take you along HWY 61 from I-94 to Lower Afton? If so, Minnesota Department of Transportation would like your input at their public meeting on March 18 at 5:00 – 6:30 pm. See the flier below for more information.

Due to insurance and treatment policies, Children’s Dental Services cannot see students who already have a current dentist. If you would like your child to receive care from Children’s Dental Services, please have your child visit the school nurse to obtain a parent consent form.
