Past Week
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. On Tuesday, we took a show what you know on multiplying fractions, and all of the students did well. We learned about scaling and what the effect will be on a product when you multiply different kinds of factors. Students should have understood that multiplication does not always produce a larger product than the factors. The product depends on the size of the factors that are being multiplied.
Upcoming week...
Next week we will have a show what you know on multiplying fractions with word problems on Tuesday. For the remainder of the week, we will review for our upcoming cumulative semester test on Tuesday, Dec. 13th. (Fourth graders will take their math semester final on Dec. 14th due to District Assessment scheduling.) Please remind your student to review a little bit each night.
We will have an upcoming project before school ends for the Winter Break. Students please be thinking about the concept that was hardest for you to grasp and the one that was easiest for you to grasp this year thus far. We will make a video clip of you modeling and explaining both of the concepts for our eClass page. Stay tuned, more information to follow....
CML was sent home today. It is due next Friday, Dec. 9th.
Have a great weekend!
