Dear Colonial Park Families -

Happy New Year! We are excited to welcome your children back tomorrow for the first school day of 2025! We also can't wait to see Ms. Dean, who is returning to Colonial Park tomorrow following her maternity leave. We are so grateful to Coach Almeida for taking over for Ms. Dean while she was gone!

This week, our students in Grades K-4 will enjoy an enrichment sponsored by the Whalemobile. Each class will spend 40 minutes with a Whalemobile team member. The first 20 minutes will take place inside a life-size inflatable whale, where students will dive into basic whale biology and anatomy. For the remaining 20 minutes, students will move outside the whale to engage in a grade-appropriate activity that reinforces the learning from the first part of the session and ties into what students are learning in their classrooms. A huge thank you to Enrichment Coordinator Jenn Khodush and our CP community's support of the PTO for providing our students with this opportunity.

No School: Monday, January 20 - in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Early Release Day System-wide: Friday, January 24, K-4 12:00 and Preschool 11:40

*PTO Meeting - Our next PTO Meeting will be held on Monday, January 13th. We will be raffling off Spirit Wear to those in attendance in person, and will be posting an agenda and virtual link soon.

*School Committee Meeting - The PTO encourages everyone who is able to attend the January 9th School Committee Budget Hearing Meeting. This will be at 6:30 at the Central Middle School Media Center. There will be room for Public Comment up to 2 minutes per speaker if you would like to voice your concerns or add comment.
