Flower Moon
May's full moon, called the Flower Moon, appears on Thursday, May 23, reaching peak illumination at 9:53 am (EDT). May 23 or 24 will be the best days for viewing.

Georgia Historical Society Research Center

The Georgia Historical Society will be hosting the 2024 Summer Teacher Workshop on June 3rd to introduce and explore the 2024-2025 Georgia History Festival theme. Please see the attached flyer for details. We hope to see you in Savannah!

Georgia Council of Teachers of Mathematics has created literature collections that are aligned to the Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards by grade level and by unit. These resources have been vetted by GCTM members for appropriateness for the classroom.

Mother's Day is May 12th
In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill designating the second Sunday in May as a legal holiday to be called "Mother's Day".

Please be reminded that completion of the Reading and Dyslexia Endorsements serve as one of the four pathways to meet the Georgia Early Literacy Act legislative requirement for K-3 teachers!
