Principal's Message
I hope you all have had a great January. We are excited and looking forward to crawling towards Spring. It will be here before we know it!
Johnson County Spelling Bee- Congratulations to our fifth grader, Colby Gibson, who participated in the Johnson County Spelling Bee. He did an amazing job at our Indian Creek Spelling Bee in December, and went on to compete with top spellers from the county. We are so proud of him!
Fifth Graders- Attention all 5th graders! Please send in a photo of your child during their younger years (before KG) to Melissa Pharr. She will be making a slideshow for the end of the year awards program. You can send them to mpharr@nhj.k12.in.us or send the picture in with your child so we can scan and return it. Thank you for your help in this!

AP's Announcements
A student who consistently models our school-wide expectations for respect, responsibility, and safety.
A student who always works to achieve their personal best, behaviorally or academically.
All recipients were surprised with the announcements of their awards at the school wide convocation, recognized in front of their peers, and were also given a certificate with a blurb written by their nominating teacher.

Counselor's Corner
I hope that you are feeling refreshed in this new year. As we start a new year we often look back and reflect on the previous year and set goals for the new year. I encourage you to set some self-care goals for your family. We often forget about ourselves in the fast paced world we live in. Be intentional and set time aside to energize your mind, body, and spirit. Even small changes can turn into wellness habits that set the stage for hope, joy, and resiliency in the new year. If you notice your student could use some extra support, please reach out to me. Make 2025 a great year!!!

If you are interested in joining you go here and you can join the Indian Creek Schools team! By joining you are offering to donate at least $1.
Creek Manufacturing has created shirts to honor both the Book Ball and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library -- they are available at https://public.eventlink.com/registrations?id=a3dcd147-f016-49d0-a8c8-08dd3ee755b4
PTO- Join us!
We would love to see you at our next PTO meeting. It will be held Feb 11th at 6pm.
Indian Creek Education Foundation
The ICEF is seeking volunteers to join their committee. They are a small group of parents/community members that share the same vision of supporting Indian Creek Schools/Teachers/Students/Staff. They host events (Bingo, Holiday Bizarre) to raise money to give back to the school in the form of grants. If you are interested, please join at one of their monthly meetings (website is linked).
Lost & Found
Our Lost and Found is really growing! Please remind your student to check our table out if they are missing anything. It would also be a good idea to write names on tags and water bottles so we can get their items back to them when they are found.
