Clark Weekly News (11/8/24)
Growing Together
A note from your Principal
As we look forward to a fun dance tonight put on by our Student Government, we also have a couple significant days coming next week. Monday is Veterans Day and Clark and IRSC are closed as we honor those who have served our country. I hope you will take a moment to reflect on the importance of the brave men and women who have given so much for the United States as well as the world. Wednesday brings us "World Kindness Day." Though this is not a nationally recognized holiday, it is a critically important day for our school and our world. Kindness truly matters and words that are spoken need to be kind. As we learn in leadership and try to teach our students, honest feedback is important, but it can always be done from a kind heart and using kind words.
In gratitude always,
Dr. Judd

Today is Take Care Tuesday. Research suggests that one of the most effective ways to alleviate stress, worry, and general anxieties about our life is to practice more deliberate kindness and self-compassion. Today is Think about it Thursday.Monday isn’t just a day off of school for a chance to sleep in. It is actually a very important day. We recognize Monday, November 11, Veterans Day, as a day that a grateful Nation might pay appropriate homage to the veterans of all its wars who have contributed so much to the preservation of this Nation.
On this day, let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us rededicate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain.
Today is Fact Friday. Next week begins Holocaust education week which coincides with the anniversary of Kristallnacht, November 9-10, 1938, a major turning point in the persecution of European Jews by the Nazi regime. You will be hearing more about the holocaust throughout next week.
