On Friday, March 1st, 2019, the General Chaplain (Fr. FX Nguyen Thanh Binh, SVD), Deputy General Chaplain (Fr. Ngo Dinh Thong, CSsR) and members of the National Executive Committee (Ban Chấp Hành Trung Ương) and National Leadership Council (Hội Đồng Lãnh Đạo) convened at the VEYM store in Garden Grove to hold a press release to officially sign into law the amended Bylaw. Fr. FX Nguyen Thanh Binh, SVD spoke of the history and demand leading to the amended Bylaw.

The last time the Bylaw was updated was 10 years ago. Revisions were recommended to address the challenges and gaps in the VEYM/TNTT. After months of meetings, voting, editing, and more editing, the Bylaw was signed into law and promulgated. Please pray for the VEYM. God bless!

Additionally, the new VEYM website and eStore were updated and available for immediate use. The new website and eStore allow for easy web browsing and on mobile devices. They are more effective and require less maintenance cost. Editing the content is ongoing and continue to update when appropriate.

Following the signing, the President of the National Executive Committee (Tr. Hoang Cong Thai Duong) unveiled two key initiatives the Movement will push forward to compliment our mission of educating and helping our youth become good Christians and citizens. The first is the National Living the Eucharistic Day Campaign and the second, the VEYM Heroes. More official announcement forthcoming. Please join us in praying for our Regional Presidents, League of Chapters Presidents and members of the National Executive Committee as they convene this weekend before Lent for their first VEYM Annual Servant Leader Retreat. Often, they do much work with very little time for personal spiritual nourishment, let us pray for them this weekend.

The Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network celebrates its 175th anniversary in June 2019. 10 years since the beginning of its recreation, now as a Pontifical Work. Congrats to the VEYM! Last February 16, 2019, our General Chaplain, President of the National Executive Committee and Youth Leaders from The Mid-Atlantic Region attended the USCCB sponsored Asian and Pacific Island Day at the Mid-Atlantic Congress with the theme "Encountering Christ". Fr. Bình Nguyễn and Tr. Dương Hoàng spoke to speak to USCCB and other Asian American Catholic communities about our VEYM/TNTT. Please join us in praying for this event.

Excited to share with the world that the VEYM/TNTT USA will have a delegation of approximately 100 people attending the private audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican later this year to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network, formally known as the Apostleship of Prayer.
