Major's Minute

This has been a jam packed week starting with special guests in worship last week with Major Darren Norton and Anthony from Modesto Corps. Then the week consisted of Grocery Outlet donation pick up, Smart and Final pick up, Safeway pick up, Protecting the Mission training, weekly brass and Bible study, To-Go-Tuesday meal pick up, Thursday pantry, young adult volleyball, Second Saturday Sons breakfast, Second Saturday Sisters Fellowship, volunteering at the Art & Wine Festival, and Gabriel's 1st Bday and setting up for Rally Day Potluck.


It sounds like a lot of activity, effort, and time, and it is. We know that many of the congregation come to church to serve each week. It can be taxing and sometimes discouraging. But, moments like the one captured above with Brooklyn and Fallon remind us that it's worth it. With each interaction, we pray that we are all being encouraged toward serving God and each other.


24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. Hebrews 10:24


Major Shoshannah


**Note - We are updating our volunteer files. We'll be asking current and new volunteers to complete the volunteer packet. We will also be giving you instructions on how to get additional fingerprinting (now required by law) for those who work with youth. You will not need to pay for anything. We will guide you on how to get this done.**


SEPTEMBER


  • 15 Rally Day Potluck - Sunday gearing up to celebrate everyone back from summer. Bring a side to share if able. We are inviting summer camp families to join us this day to pick up Earthquakes tickets, enjoy lunch, games, and get back to school supplies and clothing as supplies last along with the church family.
  • 18-19 Wednesday and Thursday programs cancelled this week.
  • 18 -21 Majors Ruwethin travel to Las Vegas for the Celebration of Life for Zenaida Habal (Major Joanne Louangamath's mom. They will be at worship on 9/22.
  • 21 Earthquakes Match, Join us for the fun. Free tickets for the game and food at the game. Details coming soon for transportation there and back. Please RSVP by September 15.
  • 30 Ruwethins at Officers Councils at Camp Redwood Glen for the week.
Event Information

Rally Sunday and Potluck

This is our time to celebrate being back from summer traveling and getting back to the rhythm of meeting together at church. It's also a great time to invite friends and family to your church and be a part of the worshipping body. Plan to bring a side dish to share. But remember, the most important thing to bring is YOU!

Event Information

Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY

We're inviting the community (including yourself) to come to our First Annual Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY - Getting the community onto our property to know that we are here and bless them. For our first event we are asking for hosts to decorate, purchase candy for, and/or pass out candy at the doors of our property from 5 - 7 PM. We'll have a handful of lawn activities and music - nothing too overwhelming our first year. We pray to meet families and grow this event each year to come.
