A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
Dear CSSE Families,
Our campus is under construction! This morning, the fence went up around the area where our new Early Childhood building will rise. The next year and a half will have its share of inconveniences (altered access, less parking, noise and mud), but it will be such a joy when our new building is complete and full of youngsters eager to explore and learn! Please see the SchoolStatus (ClassTag) message later this weekend with important instructions regarding parking, drop off/pick up, and traffic flow in the north lot. Changes are in effect beginning Tuesday morning.
We are out of school on Monday, April 1st. I hope you will take the time to join our Holy Week observances at St. Eugene or in your own faith community. Please see the Holy Week graphic below for dates and times of services here at St. Eugene. Happy Easter!
Faith Forward,
Mrs. Goldsworthy
Save the Date for Eagle Expo!
Eagle Expo for Preschool through 5th grade is coming up soon, so mark down Tuesday, April 23rd on your calendar!
Eclipse Day!
Monday, April 8th is a near total solar eclipse in our area. Mrs. Goldsworthy has ordered eclipse glasses for students and staff in 1st grade and up. We will be sending home an opt-OUT for parents to sign if they do NOT want their student to be outside during the eclipse. Please sign and return the form to your child’s teacher by Monday morning on April 8th if your student should remain indoors during the eclipse. The eclipse will start at 12:30pm and peak around 1:45pm in OKC with 93% coverage. We will have a few extra glasses, and parents are welcome to join us to watch the eclipse. Please park in the lot south of the church (near the portico) and walk to the school between 1:20-1:30pm to join us!
Read, Read, Read!
Lexia sent a report showing that of our students who have met their usage goal this year, 91% have gained one full grade level in reading!
This goes along with evidence based research showing how even just 20 minutes a night a few times a week can make a huge difference in a student's grade level of reading! Congrats to those students who dedicate time to reading success!
Parent Input for 2024-25 Coming Soon
Mrs. Goldsworthy provides a parent input form for parents to share learning environment considerations for their child(ren). She does not take teacher requests from parents. Later this semester, this form will be available for parents to fill out and submit to Mrs. Goldsworthy. Look for the link to the form in the EE later this Spring.

Parish News
The Board meets once a month for an hour. We plan the Blood Drive, financially support the needs of the sacristy (wine, hosts, candles, purificators, palms, etc.), and provide support for various dinners and receptions. The 3 guilds are active by being involved in community service projects, providing prayers shawls for the Health Ministry Team, support a prisoner and his crochet work, and foster fellowship among their members. Plus they take tours, have interesting, informative programs and have fun!
If you have questions or are interested in learning more about our work, please contact Barbara Main, 405-720-6333 or Mary Ann Tomlinson, 405-216-8958.
Please consider donating a few hours a month to serve the parish in this capacity, God will certainly reward you three-fold.
