Nine Lessons and Carols 2024 - Save the Date!
Monday, December 16, 2024 and Tuesday, December 17, 2024
The annual Nine Lessons and Carols performance is coming soon! Students in Grades 1-5 all have been preparing music that highlights the Story of Salvation in anticipation for Christmas. The choir has also been preparing a varied repertoire to share with you all. Please make sure you check your emails about details.
Students must arrive at the church by 5:30 each night.
The second performance on Tuesday is a community fundraising event, so please share that with friends and other members of the community who you think might enjoy live, joyful, and fun music! Complete with a guest organist, trumpet player, and more! Donations of at least $10 welcome for this Tuesday performance.
Dress for students is Sunday best! No heels!
Update on Spirit Days--Moved to Every Wednesday!
Update as of 11/11/24
Spirit Squad Shirts may not be worn all day on Wednesdays. Mrs. Flores and Mrs. Burns will let the squad know days that are appropriate to wear those shirts.
Everyone looked great this past Wednesday! Way to have spirit!
Starting next week, you may wear spirit or club shirts every Wednesday
We have been blessed to see the rise of so many students involved in clubs this year. These clubs also offer the ability of wearing custom shirts. The following shirts are permitted to be worn on Wednesday every week:
- Running Club dry-fit shirt (if in Running Club and will be participating that day)
- Choir shirt
- Spirit Shirts from this year or any previous year
Athletic shirts may be worn on game days when applicable.
This is not a free dress day. You must wear school bottoms, school socks, and school shoes on these days, or wear your jumper over the shirt with modesty shorts.
Since we are permitting every Wednesday to be a Spirit Day, we will no longer have Spirit Day on the last Friday of the month.
Wearing the maroon sweatshirt is a privilege. STUDENTS WHO CONTINUE TO WEAR THEIR MAROON SWEATSHIRTS ON THURSDAYS (or other days when we have Mass, including First Friday) WILL CAUSE US TO LOSE THIS PRIVILEGE.

St. John's Child Care
A Note from St. John's Child Care
Hello SJS Family!
We had a special moment in our toddler class this week. There were 4 children standing in front of the mirror looking at their reflections. They were making funny faces and having conversations with each other. During this activity the children were exploring:
*sense of self
*social skills
*language development
*imagination
*sharing/taking turns
Please call the child care office for more information.
God bless you and your family!
