Belle's Christmas Celebration
Join Princess Belle in her rare Christmas dress on Saturday, Dec 21 from 1:30 - 3:00pm for an enchanting afternoon! Your little princess(es) will have the chance to meet and take photos with princess Belle, create a craft, enjoy a light snack, and participate in a Christmas story-time and singalong with Belle!
This will be an open-house type setting where you can come and go at any time during the event! Please note: Belle will be doing story-time and singalong at approximately 2:15pm.
Princess dresses are encouraged!

2025 Spelling Bee!
District Spelling Bee open to students in grades 5 through 8 currently enrolled in Chisago Lakes Public Schools. The Spelling Bee will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 and will be open to spectators. Three spellers will advance to the regional Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 13, 2025 with a Snow Day of Thursday, February 15th, 2025. Regional Spelling Bee will be held at Atwood Memorial Center at St. Cloud State University.

4th Annual Wildcat Basketball Alumni Tournament
Join former teammates, coaches, and friends for our rapidly-expanding 4th-Annual Wildcat Alumni Basketball Tournament from 8am-1pm on Saturday, January 4th! Go up-and-down with 4 decades of Wildcat Alumni, and see if your team has what it takes to beat last year's champions, "Jumpin Jangors". One captain should register your team (min of 5 players & max of 10 players), and provide teammates' names and ages. All proceeds will go to the Chisago Lakes Boys Basketball Coaches Association. Winter Break means added Open Swim Sessions!
Winter Group Swim Lesson Registration
We are excited to announce the schedule and registration details for our winter group swim lessons. The upcoming session will run for 6 classes, held on Sundays from January 5th through February 9th. We will offer four class times each Sunday: 12:30PM, 1:20PM, 2:10PM, and 3:00PM. Registration opens on Tuesday, December 17th at 8:00 AM. Full details, including class levels, dates, and times, are posted on our Aquatics page in Eleyo (https://isd2144.ce.eleyo.com/search?q=swim+lessons&redirected_yet=true). Classes aren't full as it may display - they are just not open yet for registration. For those who have participated in swim lessons before, please be sure to register your child for the level recommended by our instructors. This is important to ensure all swimmers are placed in the appropriate class. Fit & Fabulous: Ready to build strength, confidence, and a deeper understanding of fitness? Join us for Fit & Fabulous, a 3-week class starting January 3rd, 2025, designed for adults of all fitness levels who want to enhance their well-being through education and hands-on training!
Mat Pilates: Perfect for all fitness levels, our Mat Pilates class will guide you through a series of low-impact exercises targeting key muscle groups to tone and sculpt your body while increasing flexibility. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you'll benefit from increased body awareness, improved muscular endurance, and a deep sense of relaxation.
Zumba Toning: If you want a heart-pumping workout that's also a lot of fun, Zumba® Toning might be just the class for you. Zumba® Toning incorporates weighted toning sticks or dumbbells, which come in 1-pound and 2.5-pound sizes, to the Zumba® workout that participants use almost like maracas.

Ski and Snowboard Club
Join your friends at ski/snowboard club on Fridays this winter!! This club will provide transportation after school to Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls.

Calling all High Schoolers! Come out and play pickleball with your friends. We're looking forward to some friendly (yet fierce) competition!
Gym Games
Soccer, Football, Dodgeball, Basketball, Wiffle Ball..... Name a game kids love to play and we are doing it in this class. Each class is just about having fun! All equipment provided.
Lakeside: Thursdays 3:45 - 5:00pm

New Sessions for Gymnastics!
Tumble Tots ( age 1-3 yr): Focus on large muscle development for young children. Activities will seek to build strength, coordination & flexibility while learning basic gymnastics skills.
Tumble Cats ( age 3-5 yr): This class focuses on tumbling, balance and coordination. Activities will be used to teach fundamental gymnastics skills
Beginner 1 & 2 ( K - 3rd gr): This class is for the gymnast that is relatively new to the sport. The emphasis will be on tumbling, building strength, and developing balance on the beam.
Intermediate (K - 8th gr): Focus on improving form, building strength and working on more advanced skills like walkovers, round-offs and back handsprings.
Advanced (K - 8th gr): Focus on improving form, strength and conditioning, and working on more advanced skills like walkovers, aerials, and back handsprings
Nature Club
Embark on a captivating journey into nature with our certified naturalist-led after-school program! Students will get involved in the wonders of the natural world, discovering the secrets of tree identification, the art of seed harvesting and preservation. This curriculum evolves with the changing seasons, ensuring fresh experiences and discoveries with each passing month
Be sure to dress in weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, as we'll venture outdoors to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and splendor of nature.
Taylors Falls: Mondays 3:30 - 5:00pm
Lakeside: Tuesdays 3:45 - 5:15pm
Primary: Thursdays 3:40 - 5:10pm
Basketball Rec League Registration Open
Chisago Lakes Teams in grades 2-6 are being formed to compete in the Forest Lake Basketball League. This league will focus on improving basic skills such as dribbling with both hands, shooting, passing, game positions and offensive/defensive techniques. Register for the grade the participant is entering in the fall. Games will be played at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS), game times are at 6:15pm or 7:15 pm. Games are played beginning in late January, and go through February. This is intended for kids that are not in Traveling Basketball.
In addition to the one game night, the participant will have potentially one practice a week at a school located within the Chisago Lakes district. Practices will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. All players will receive a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, so please indicate size when registering.

Toddlers and Tots

Active and Confident - Now on Wednesdays!
Join us to help your son or daughter learn to be active and confident! On Wednesdays now in the gymnastics room at the Wildcat Community Center, Active and Confident class encourages parents of two to three year old's to participate and learn various skills. Your toddler will love this class! In this class children will learn new skills and abilities of the body! They will become more confident, develop coordination, flexibility, balance and more! They will have fun learning from playing games, running, jumping, climbing and let’s have fun!

Mature Driving
This course has been approved by the State Department of Public Safety. The course content will include physical and mental limitations, driving strategies, defensive driving and safety.
**Effective July 1, the new rule states that the course must be a total of at least 4 hours. This means that a first-time participant can take a 4-hour program as their initial training – the 8-hour will no longer be a requirement.
You will receive a certificate of completion. Check with your insurance agent for reduced rate information.

Are you having issues with your smart phone, tablet or computer? Drop in at one of hte dates below to get individual help from a capable volunteer or a high school student. We'd love to help you out! Each meeting will feature a topic plus time for individual help.

Parents Night Out
Parents night out was held on Friday, Dec. 13 and the students had a great time enjoying all the WCC has to participate in. The foam pit in the gymnastics room had students flipping with joy.
Aquatics center was a big hit as well...
Swimmers got time to splash around with their friends while mom and dad were out having some adult time kid free.
