Tiger Buck Cart
Our Richmond Safety Patrol visits our primary classes each week for students to cash in their tiger bucks for prizes! Thank you to our safety patrol for being leaders in our building!
Guest Readers Needed
During the month of February, we will be inviting guest readers into classrooms to share a book related to Black History Month. A list of recommended books is available; please click HERE for more information on the available books. If you have a different title in mind, feel free to email your suggestion to our LRC Director, Brittany Brandenburg, at brittany.brandenburg@d303.org.
To sign up, we are using Sign Up Genius. Please note that you will need to create a FREE account if you do not already have one. To sign up for a reading slot, click HERE. You will be prompted to provide the name of the book you plan to read.

Thank you to those families who were already able to sign-up for Boosterthon! We are close to hitting our first benchmark! We have set goals below and every time we hit our goal, we will earn a prize! See prizes below.
The next few days are going to be filled with fun as we embark on a QUEST to raise $7,000 for school events including author visits and assemblies, as well as other academic materials at Richmond School! All students will participate in the fun through a character program, event day, and school incentives. Here are a few things you can do to help us reach our big goals!

Richmond Lockdown Drill
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025 Richmond Elementary will conduct a Lockdown Drill with law enforcement personnel present following the ALICE protocol. During this time, students will review and practice the classroom procedures. Parents/guardians may opt their child out of physical participation in this drill each year by emailing Lisa Simoncelli-Bulak at lisa.simoncelli-bulak@d303.org and Darlene Buffano at darlene.buffano@d303.org at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled date. Students who are opted out will receive an alternative school safety learning experience with a certified staff member.
Valentine’s Parties
Room Parent Guidelines:
Valentine’s parties at Davis/Richmond will be Friday, February 14, 2025.
Classroom parties will run from 2:30-3:15 p.m.
Room Parents arrive and begin party preparation at 2:15 pm
Work with the classroom teacher on activities/games for the party.
No food treats will be eaten during the party
Please do not send any food treats with your child to pass out
Work with the teacher on any non-edible goody bags to be sent home. Please no candy, gum or other edible items.
Room parents for holiday parties are signed up through the PTO.

FIDDLE FEST 2025 Save the Date! Friday February 28th.
Calling all fiddlers and lovers of folk music! Fiddle Fest 2025 is Feb. 28. This will be our 18th year. All advanced orchestra students, elementary through high school and beyond, can participate! Parents, teachers, older siblings, grandparents and community members who play guitar, banjo, mandolin or a string instrument are welcome! We guarantee you’ll have a great time!

Registration for all performers is online. Deadline to register is Thurs. Feb 20th.
