Ticketed Stadium Athletic Event Guidelines
Don’t forget you can also skip the line and get your tickets online! You can purchase those here.
The District has implemented the following guidelines for student admittance into ALL ticketed high school home sporting events effective immediately.
- Any guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian age 21 and over, unless they are students of Central York High School or the visiting team’s high school.
- All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult at all times. Unaccompanied elementary and middle school students will not be permitted to enter the stadium.
- Unaccompanied students from Central York High School and the visiting team’s high school must present their physical student ID to purchase a ticket/enter the game.
- Unaccompanied high school students from schools other than the those participating in the contest will not be permitted.
- Central York School District has the right to request identification for any guests in question attempting to enter ticketed home sporting events.
- Bookbags and unnecessary items such as skateboards, scooters, footballs, etc., are not permitted in Panther Stadium.
- Parents/guardians dropping off high school students to attend the football game may do so in the parent drop off loop at the front of the high school building. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes after the game ends.
- Spectators will be asked to follow the parking map and continue right when entering the high school campus under the direction of event and traffic staff and enter the stadium through the appropriate spectator gate.
- Students that are not conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the District’s Code of Conduct and school rules will be asked to leave and may be prohibited from attending any athletic/co-curricular events for the remainder of the season.
- All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
High School football season and home sporting events are an exciting time of year. From student athletes on the field, to the cheerleaders and marching band, our sporting events are community staples that fill us with Panther Pride. Thank you for your continued support in providing a safe and respectful environment for all members of our school community.

Volunteer Opportunity
Attention H.S. Juniors and Seniors who are interested in gaining volunteer hours, or are planning to be in the Education Field as an adult. Mrs. Rossi is searching for reliable 11th and 12th-grade students who have open blocks or open FLEX time to come to the M.S. and work directly with M.S. students in the classroom as a tutor and/or mentor. H.S. students need to provide their transportation. Please contact Mrs. Rossi at nrossi@cysd.k12.pa.us if you are interested and available.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Families will be able to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences beginning on Monday, October 7th via Skyward.
Conferences Times
Thursday, October 24th starting at 12:30 pm and concluding at 7:30 pm. Conferences are 15-minutes in length.
Friday, October 25th starting at 8:00 am and concluding at 3:00 pm. Conferences are 15-minutes in length.
Panther Perk Coffeehouse
The Panther Perk is now open to students from 8:15 to 10:30. We are offering hot beverages, ice coffee, lemonade and snacks.
Passes have been provided to each teacher. It is up to your teacher if they allow you to visit the Perk on a day other than your assigned day. Signs reminding you of the cycle day for each wing have also been placed at the front of each wing as a reminder.

School Lunches Update
High School lunches are $3.00 each day. A la carte items from other food lines are available at an additional cost.
Students with a negative food account balance of $5.00 or more cannot add the additional a la carte items from the alternative food lines to their meals. The daily lunch menu meal will still be available for these students.
If your student has a negative account balance, which can be viewed in Skyward, you may deposit funds to their account using the online Revtrak system (Deposit Meal Account Funds Online) or by sending a check with your student to school. Please make checks payable to “Central York School District.” Checks may be given to the cashiers in the cafeteria for deposit into the student’s food services account. If you cannot log in to Skyward, please email familyaccess@cysd.k12.pa.us to update your contact information or reset your account password.

Safety and Technology Resources for Families
Central York School District is excited to announce that we have partnered with Linewize by Family Zone, a leading education technology company, to provide District families and students with the highest quality of online safety and digital wellness education.
As members of the Central York Community, you have access to an Online Safety Hub, as well as free parent/guardian access to the Qustodio App, a parental control app that allows families insight and control of their child’s device usage.
Qustodio App
The Qustodio App allows parents access to monitor and supervise their child’s time online. By signing up, parents can monitor their child’s activity on their school-issued device, as well as up to two additional personal devices at no cost.
The app enables parents to:
- Receive reports and alerts on your child’s school-time activity
- Enable and disable internet access
- Receive guidance and tips on digital guides and threats
Access to features on your child’s school-issued device will be effective during non-school hours. Usage on two free personal devices is 24/7. Parents must use the email associated with their Skyward account.
Online Safety Hub
The Online Safety Hub includes helpful parent advice guides, app and game reviews, online safety quizzes, resources, and access to information about the Qustodio App.
National English Honor Society
NEHS, the National English Honor Society, is currently accepting applications for this year! We are looking for passionate readers and writers interested in language and literature!
To be eligible for membership you must:
1) have completed two years of English in the high school
2) have a GPA minimum of 3.50, and be in good standing
Applications can be found outside of Mrs. Detwiler’s room (528). Applications are due back to either Mrs. Detwiler or Ms. Goodrich (room 529) by Friday, October 18.
Technology News
Our CYHS iTeam Website has many resources created by our members for staff and students to learn about their computers. The Tech Bytes slideshow is helpful, and if would like any individual slides as flyers, I can provide them. There is also a knowledge base and many resources for students interested in technology and programming.
CYSD Device Protection Plan
Central York School District offers optional protection plans for your child’s District issued devices.
The protection plan fully covers your child’s device for any accidental damage that occurs. The cost is $25 per year for iPads and $60 per year for Macbooks.

ASVAB TESTING
The ASVAB (Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery) is being offered at no cost to interested 10th, 11th and 12th graders at CYHS on Friday, October 18, 2024. The ASVAB measures strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success, in addition to matching career interests with abilities to help direct further career exploration for the student. Students who take the ASVAB are not under any obligation to join military or even speak with a military recruiter. Interested students should return the permission form found at tinyurl.com/CentralASVAB to the School Counseling Office by October 17. COLLEGE FAIR OCTOBER 14!
Students and parents are encouraged to attend the College Fair from 6 to 8 pm on October 14 in the Grumbacher Fitness Center (889 South Richland Avenue York PA 17403), where they will interact with representatives from many different colleges and universities. Students should register in advance at StriveFair.com.
IMPORTANT EVENT COMING UP!
Join us on Thursday, October 24 from 6 to 7pm for our Preparing for Your Future: Understanding Your Career & College Options program. This is the same evening as Parent Conferences, so we hope it will be convenient for families to attend. Attendees will learn about options after high school, then will choose between sessions about the college admissions process, military opportunities, and careers in the trades / technical fields. This program is appropriate for ALL high school students and their families.

NINTH GRADE STUDENTS
York County School of Technology is now taking applications from 9th grade students who want to attend YCST full-time for the rest of high school. This is your LAST CHANCE to apply for full-time status at York Tech. The FINAL DEADLINE for applications is December 6,2024. Applicants must have passing grades, satisfactory attendance, and good behavior.
Interested students can apply at www.ytech.edu There are two sets of instructions: one for families who already have a student at York Tech and one application for families who do not already have a student at York Tech.

COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVES VISITING CENTRAL YORK

UPMC is having a Healthcare Career Night at UPMC Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. She will be discussing what specifically pertains to the various units the PA Attorney General Office has and what types of cases their Special Agents investigate.
