As we approach the winter break, we want to take a moment to wish all our families a joyful and restful holiday season. We are grateful for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. May this time be filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, refreshed and ready for more learning adventures! Enjoy the holidays!
Legend Bingo Night- Tomorrow
PTO Updates
If you can join us, please RSVP by January 6th. If you’re unable to attend, share your information to stay informed about future meetings!
Wish Week- Parents Night Out
We are so excited to share about a new event Legend is holding during Wish Week this year to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Colorado! Instead of having our Feeder School Festival we are having a Parent's Night Out! Parents will be able to drop their kids off at Legend High School and the kids will have a blast with activities including bounce houses, crafts and a movie!
The event will be on Saturday, January 25th from 6-10pm. As we prepare for this event we would love to know how many parents are interested in this fun opportunity so we can get an idea of the amount of supplies we will be needing. Please fill out the form below if you are interested in this opportunity. This form is just to gage the number of interested families.
In January, when we get back from winter break, an official RSVP form will be sent out for parents to sign their kids up for Parent's Night Out. Be on the lookout for that!
Board Game Drive: Are you cleaning out your closets to make room for new holiday gifts? Please consider donating your gently used or new board games to Cimarron for students to use during access time on the days that are too cold to go outside. We will be collecting them in the main office now through January 15th. Thank you for your support of our students and teachers.

Love and Logic Parenting Tip
Encourage Independence and Decision-Making: Kids need to develop a sense of independence to fully embrace their purpose. Encourage your child to make decisions, take on responsibilities, and pursue their interests on their own. When kids have the freedom to make right decisions, they learn to take ownership of their lives.
Create a Supportive Environment: Creating a supportive environment includes providing them with the resources, encouragement, and emotional support they need to explore their passions and pursue their goals. Be an active listener. Show genuine interest in your child’s interests and aspirations. Provide constructive feedback when needed, but also give them the space to figure things out on their own. Encourage them to seek out mentors who can provide guidance and inspiration.
Donations
Donations Needed: Please drop off all donations at the front office. We appreciate you!
We are always looking for gift card donations of $5 gift cards to support our Be RED card Friday Drawings. Students love Fika, McDonalds, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Berry Blendz, Swirls, Target, and Five Below gift cards.
In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding staff, we are launching an initiative to provide them with tokens of gratitude throughout the year. These tokens, though small, carry a significant impact in letting our staff know that their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. To achieve this, we have created an Amazon Wish List filled with a variety of small thank-you gifts that our staff members would greatly appreciate. These gifts will be given out as tokens of appreciation to those who consistently go the extra mile for our students.
The Be RED store is up and running! We are employing 8th grade students to help run the store this year. It has been awesome to see their interactions with younger students and their hard work.
We are always looking for continued donations as our inventory gets pretty low; the best sellers are Air Heads, packs of gum, mini Gatorades, and lunch-sized bags of chips/ pringles/ goldfish/ etc!!
Feel free to search on this Amazon wish list but you can always go off board too! Ask your student for ideas on items they would like to see in the store! Thank you!
