A Note from Principal Purfurst
This is the last week to take our Spring Parent/Guardian survey! Thank you to all of our families who have already taken it! Mrs. Richardson's class and Ms. Patrick's classes have already gotten to 100% completion and have earned a pizza party after spring break! Mrs. Richardson's class has also won an ice cream party for being the first class to 100% completion. Please use the "CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE SURVEY" button below to take the survey!
Updates from Dean Hawkins
Safety Update:
We did not practice any safety drills at Padilla last week. We will have a tornado drill on Tuesday as we prepare for the upcoming Colorado spring. Please let me know if you have any questions about this or any of the drills we practice at Padilla Elementary!
Lost and Found Items:
Please remind your students to take a look at the items that have been left outside over the past couple months. The items are currently located in the vestibule leading out to the playground from the cafeteria. We will keep the items here at school until Conference week. We will display all of the items that week on tables down the gym/art room/cafeteria hallway.
Colorado Rapids Attendance Incentive:
If your student had a 90% attendance rate from January 16th- March 1st, be on the lookout for information as to how to collect your student’s free ticket to an upcoming Colorado Rapids Soccer Game! A link will be sent to your family with two separate games to choose from. You will also be able to order additional tickets for your family through this link. Thank you for ensuring your student’s daily attendance!
Our next attendance incentive program will be “No Tardy April.” We will work to improve our number of daily tardies during April and will be awarding the class with the fewest tardies throughout the month. The class with the fewest tardies in April will earn a “Tug-a-War” competition with the office snack and a treat to follow!
Thank you for your help with ensuring your student's daily attendance!
New School Security Guard
As many families may have noticed, Mr. Jonathan Ramos has replaced Mr. Tim as our School Security Guard. Mr. R will be with us for the remainder of the school year. We have been informed that this position will be funded again next school year and we hope to have Mr. R with us again as our students have enjoyed getting to know him already!
Here is more info about Mr. R.
Jonathan Ramos:
He likes going on hikes with his dog, loves to ski and spends a lot of time in the gym working on his fitness goals. Jonathan is a veteran of the United States Army.
