Message from the Principal
Join us for Caregiver-Teacher Conferences on March 6th and 7th!
Caregiver-Teacher Conferences are a part of building a strong partnership between school and home. They provide a dedicated time to discuss your child’s academic achievements, social-emotional development, and overall well-being. Our teachers are eager to share insights into your child’s progress and celebrate their growth.
These conferences also offer an opportunity to collaborate on setting meaningful academic and social goals for the remainder of the school year. Working together, we can ensure your child feels supported, challenged, and successful in all aspects of their education.
We value your partnership and look forward to connecting with you!

We’re collecting donations through March 9th, so get in those last minute payments and corporate matches! Seeing the whole school come together for a friendly competition and a great cause is the best part of this event every year. There were chicken-themed prizes, music during recess, hats for the chickens, and Principal Ness and Assistant Principal Schmidt even dressed up as chickens to celebrate our fundraising goals. Stay tuned as we share more of the prizes and celebrations for our top readers and fundraisers in each program. DONATE - Staff Meals During Conferences This Week Keep our teachers and staff going this week with some great meals. It’s a PTO tradition to feed teachers during conferences, and we always get rave feedback from them. SIGN UP HERE to bring in beverages, desserts, or a brunch item to share during conferences. District-wide Parent and Caregiver Group for Supporting Gender Expansive Kids
Are you the caregiver of a child who transcends traditional binary gender roles? We are offering a supportive, ongoing group for parents and caregivers to ask questions, share ideas, and support one another. Some children may identify as transgender, gender fluid, non-binary, gender queer, gender expansive, or simply move through the world in a much more gender free type of way. Our first meeting of the year will be Thursday, September 26 from 5-6:30 p.m. at North Middle School, Room 506. This is for parents and families from all of Hopkins schools -- and from all grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school, and beyond). Laura Jensen, Hopkins Schools LGBTQ+ Community Liaison will facilitate the meetings. This is not a group to debate the issue, rather for parents looking to support their child. Questions? Email Laura.Jensen@hopkinsschools.org
