Dear Pirate Families,

Every Monday morning we will be taking a caller from the classrooms (think back to those days we used to listen to the radio and used your phone attached to the wall to try and be caller #6). This week it was a lucky caller number #5. The catch is, to win they have to have perfect attendance for the previous week. Bolton was our first winner! Good job Bolton for having perfect attendance last week.

Encourage your children to come to school! We can't teach them if they are not here!

Open gym for girls basketball has started. It will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00. Contact Donna Maughan if you want more information.

It was a suspenseful game against Burley this week. The 8th grade team was able to come out with a win in overtime.

8th grade team played a tough game against West this week. We ended up with a loss but if you see the talent from these girls, I would say they are all winners!!

Put it on your calendars!!! The PTO will be providing concessions during our Powder Puff game on September 26th.

There is a vaccine requirement that must be met for students to attend 7th grade. This requires getting the TDap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and the meningitis ACYW vaccine OR filling out an exemption form. Some of you have been made aware that your student has not met this requirement. These vaccines can be obtained by scheduling an appointment with your family health care provider. You can also get the vaccines done by a walk-in to most local pharmacies, Family Health Services, or local Urgent Care. Be sure to get a printout documenting what vaccines were given, to turn in. If you believe exemption is right for your student, please get the form in the office. Also, see flyer about a vaccine clinic opportunity. This requirement (either scheduling the vaccines or exemption) needs to be taken care of ASAP for your student to continue in school without interruption, thank you!
