Raider Families,

We wanted to make you aware of some important information that is relevant to the first day of school, particularly at our elementary school.

On the morning of the first day of school, you may notice several police officers and their vehicles at the elementary school. These officers will be participating in a special ceremony with one of our students. There is no cause for concern. There is no need to contact the district.

This ceremony will take place in the front of the elementary school (on the opposite side of the campus from where parent drop off takes place - please see map, provided). As parents walk their Raider(s) to class, you may also notice a few officers inside the school walking one of our students to class.

While there is no cause for concern to any of our students or employees, we always want to keep you informed when emergency vehicles are on or near our campuses.

There may also be some local media coverage of this ceremony. If you notice cameras or reporters, please know they are simply reporting on this special ceremony.
