NED Growth Mindset Assembly
NED’s Mindset Mission Assembly is visiting our school on Monday 11/20! NED and our students take a journey to find their positive mindset. The show is filled with storytelling, humor, illusions and amazing yo-yo tricks where our kids learn the hidden message in NED's name:
Never give up — understand The Power of YET
Encourage others — spark courage in other people
Do your best® — always be learning and growing
Do you want to learn to yo? A yo-yo is both a mindset tool and a tangible reminder of NED's message. While learning to yo, children will make mistakes, try again and improve.
NED YOYOs will be for sale in the front office from 11/20-11/28. Look for the order form to be sent home with your student.
There will be a designated area for students to practice their yoyo skills on the playground if they choose to purchase one. Yoyos will only be able to be at the teacher-staffed recesses, not lunch recesses.
Toys for Tots
Registration for Toys for Tots is through November 24th. Late registrations and walk-ins will not be accepted. All applicants must register online prior to distribution. Toys for Tots is for kids up to age 12. If you would like assistance with registration, please come see Mrs. Bradley by the 22nd.
Pick up for toys will be at Agnes Stewart Middle School on December 16th.
Healthy Moves
This is a 30-minute activity program that is done before school. A variety of physical activities includes a warm-up, cardiovascular activities, games, and a cool down/yoga stretch. Activities are adapted to be appropriate for each grade. This program is designed to stimulate physical activity for kids in grades kinder-to-5th, and this has the added benefit of preparing them to be able to focus better in the classroom.
- Healthy Moves Trainers will come to Maple at 7:45
- Beginning at 8:00, trainers will pull any student finished eating breakfast, or students who have already eaten at home to the gym to lead them in activity.
- There will be a cap of 80 students per day, no students brought after 8:15
- At 8:25 trainers will line up students by grade level and dismiss to class
Thank you Healthy Moves for continuing this program at Maple!

My name is Mrs. Bradley and I'm the Family Center Coordinator. I am here to help students and families so that ALL students feel supported and able to participate in school everyday. Some of the resources we have available at the school are food, clothing and basic toiletries.
Please stop by the front office and visit the Family Center if you would like to pick up some items. We also roll out our Community Cart every other Thursday after school. If you have any questions please feel free to visit the office or call the school at 541-744-6395.
