CIS Weekly Updates

Thursday is our 6th Grade Activity Night from 6:00-7:30pm. Students can purchase a wristband on Thursday morning or they can pay at the door. The cost of the activity night is $5.00 per student. Our Red Ribbon spirit week will end with character dress up day on Friday. We ask that students not bring masks, accessories or apply face paint. We also ask that students not wear inflatable costumes. Thank you for your understanding.

REMINDER: We will be ordering our CIS Shirts soon. If you could talk to your student about the appropriate size and have him/her record it in their student planner then that would be a big help. *Shirts tend to be slightly smaller than expected. We recommend you choose YL, YXL, AS, AM, AL, AXL, or AXXL.

Our third day of conferences is coming up on Thursday, November 7th from 8:10-3:40pm. Thanks to our PTO, we will have a meal available for our teachers! If you would like to help with the meal then please click on the link. Parent Teacher Conference meal. Thanks for your support.

Our counselors will offer MINDFUL MORNING on Wednesday, October 23rd. As a reminder, this runs from about 8:40-8:55AM. We will spend this time getting in a calm mindset for the day! If your child wants to participate, please remind them to head directly to the library upon arrival.

Red Ribbon Week is this week, October 21-25!

This year’s theme is: Life Is A Movie, Film Drug

Free. Red Ribbon Week teaches students the importance of living a healthy life by making good choices. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family.

VETERANS REGISTRATION: CIS will host their annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11th at 2:00pm. Veterans who wish to attend are asked to fill out the Google Form so we can be prepared for you to attend. This will also allow us to know who will be in our building during the Veterans Day Celebration. Please fill out a new form for each veteran. Due to our total capacity in the CIS Auditorium, we encourage only our veterans to attend the celebration. We will record the celebration and send it out to families. *If your veteran needs assistance then please feel free to accompany them. VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION REGISTRATION

VETERANS DAY SLIDESHOW: Students are working on their veterans day slides at school. This is being completed during technology and students are encouraged to add their picture(s) and information in the near future. If you would like a veteran to be captured in the slideshow then please talk with your student about the veterans day slides they are working on at school.

Our lost and found is overflowing with really nice items. Please talk to your student about items they may be missing and ask them to check our lost and found area across from the library.

Our attendance clerk, Mrs. Long, is the contact person for calling off your student and any change of dismissal plans throughout the day. Please call the Attendance Line to reach her and leave a message. The phone number to her desk is 330-335-1481. We recommend you let the attendance desk/teacher know when your student will be absent, leaving early, or arriving late. Letting us know when your child will leave early allows us to be prepared for when you arrive. We ask that all end-of-the-day dismissal plans be made by 2:45 p.m. Thank you for your efforts!
