Algonquin Pre-K Families,
Can you believe this is the last month of the school year? Your littles have worked so hard this school year to learn and grown their bodies and BRAINS!
Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us this school year!
For our prek littles who will be 5 by September 1, 2024 -It is also time to start thinking about Kindergarten registration and learning more about what to expect as your Prek Little moves on up to KINDERGARTEN!!
Upcoming Dates to Remember
- May 1 Hearing Screenings by SERTOMA- Kindergarten Early Registration 2:15PM-4:00PM
- May 2 Kindergarten Early Registration 5:00PM-6:30 PM
- May 6-10 Teacher Appreciation Week - shower our A-Team members with love and blessings
- May 8 - National School Nurse Day - thank Ms. Liz
- May 15 - Field trip to Bella Boo's
- May 16- Step up day visitis to elementary schools for those going to Kindergarten
- May 20 - Board of Education Showcase for Algonquin Students 6:00PM at 21st Century
- May 21- Early Dismissal Day 10:45AM - No PM classes
- May 24 - Spring Celebration of Learning for those "Blasting off to Kindergarten " 9:00 AM outside if it rains we will have 2 performances inside 9:00 will be Lendi, Cash Rowland and Pierce 10:30 will be Mazzorana, Scott, Keepers
- May 30 - Field Day AM and Beach Party Concert at1:30 PM
- Please remember that our doors open at 7:50 for AM drop-off. Breakfast is served in the gym from 7:55- 8:15.
- If you arrive to Algonquin later than 8:15 you MUST sign your child into the office.
- If you need Childcare Services to fit your schedule, please contact our Family Engagement Team for resources.
- If you need to pick up your child before the 2:45 dismissal time - call the office before 2:30 PM that day so we can make sure your child is ready and waiting. Every minute of learning counts. so please try to limit early pickup if possible.
- We are building partnerships between school and home so attendance at school is very important. Our goal is to have 95% of our little scholars here every day. If your little can not be in school please call Ms. Lacy at 708-668-9250 to report an absence.
- If you are visiting you will need to sign in at the front office, present an ID for our safety check and wear a visitor lanyard. Visitors are expected to follow the visitor/parent code of conduct in the 23-24 Parent Student Handbook.
- If you need to visit a classroom or teacher, as a courtesy to the teachers ,we ask that you make arrangements at least 24 hours ahead

Magic Show
We were so fortunate to have a magic show here at Algonquin on Tuesday, April 30 . This magic show was donated to us by Sauk Trail Baptist ! Your child brought home a free ticket to their FREE magic show. We had a WONDERFUL time!
