HELP US REACH OUR ANNUAL FUND GOAL!
60% OF FAMILIES HAVE PARTICIPATED SO FAR - LET'S KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING!
In honor of St. Theresa's feast day earlier this month, we embarked on a special period of giving, honoring her radiant spirit of generosity. Inspired by the Little Flower herself, we invite each family to support our Annual Fund. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation, for every offering—no matter the size—holds immense power in nurturing our cherished school community. Let us unite this October to make a lasting impact on our school!
We are grateful to the families who have donated but we still need your help. Will you join the Annual Fund fun today?

NEW VIKING VALOR LEADERSHIP AWARD
New to STCS is the Viking Valor Leadership Award -- a prestigious honor given to one student per homeroom, nominated by their teacher. This award recognizes students who embody the "Leader in Me" habits of highly effective students, focusing on personal responsibility, integrity, collaboration, and goal-setting traits. Selected students consistently demonstrate leadership, positive influence on peers, and a commitment to personal and academic growth, standing out as role models within their classroom. The grade cluster will celebrate it during Friday morning assembly throughout the year.
CHANGES TO LITTLE FLOWER AWARD & HONOR ROLL
At STCS, there have been recent changes to how we celebrate the Little Flower Award and the Honor Roll.
Little Flower Award
The Little Flower Award is a special recognition inspired by St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as the Little Flower. She believed in living each day with unwavering confidence in God's love, teaching that what truly matters in life is not great deeds but great love. Her message is a reminder that even small, everyday actions can help build God's kingdom when they are done with love. Students and faculty can nominate one another for this award throughout the year by recognizing "little ways of showing great love." These nominations celebrate individuals who, like St. Thérèse, embody love daily, reflecting her belief that "without Love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing." This award will be celebrated during Friday morning assembly throughout the year.
Honor Roll
Historically, Honor Roll celebrations were held in the church as a larger, more formal gathering. However moving forward, the Honor Roll will now be celebrated in individual classrooms. This shift allows for a more personal and focused recognition of students within their immediate peer groups. Teachers can acknowledge their students’ academic achievements more intimately, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie in each class.
Changes to Qualifications:
Students in third through eighth grades may be eligible for one of the school’s two honor rolls.
A Honor Roll- to qualify for the A Honor Roll, the student must achieve an “A” in every core subject and an “E” or “S” in all conduct and ancillary classes.
A/B Honor Roll-to qualify for the A/B Honor Roll, the student must achieve “A’s” and no more than 2 Bs in all core subjects and an “E” or “S” in all conduct and ancillary classes.
