Happy December Lakeview Families!

I can't believe we've almost made it through half of the school year! It has been fast, furious, and a lot of fun! I hope that the holidays have been treating you well and will continue to do so during the upcoming season!

Just a few reminders from me:

-When we have Kona Ice days, we will not be accepting money in the office for Kona Ice, nor will we be allowing students to call home. This is because it causes a lot of congestion in the office and it is difficult to get that money delivered out to dozens of students throughout the day in time to get it to them. Thank you for understanding and for adhering to these protocols for us! The good news is this - they come back every month!!

-Our PTO Holiday Store is coming up. Next week - students will be allowed to visit the store before school begins at 7:40, and they will also have a time to shop with their class. Students will be allowed to shop for their friends, families, teachers, etc. during those times!

-Dismissal and Arrival: Please be cautious in the parking lot during these times. The middle lane is for thru-traffic only - no drop offs or pickups may be done in the middle lane. This is to ensure the safety of our students as well as our staff.

-The cold has finally hit us. A reminder that we will be going outside for recess if the temperature is above 32 degrees. Please remind your students to dress for the cold!

-Holiday Parties will be on December 20. This is the only party that parents are permitted to come to! Please be on the lookout for a signup sheet coming from your students' homeroom teachers!

It doesn't seem like we have that much time between Thanksgiving and Winter break! We are going to be getting a lot done! We hope that you all have enjoyed this first semester as much as we have! We look forward to all of festivities that are upcoming!

Please remember that students are only to be dropped off from the inside and outside lanes between the main entrance flagpole and the gym entrance. Students should only be picked up from the same lanes between the playground and the gym entrance at their pod pick up zone. This is to maintain a smooth and efficient flow in the parking lot, and to ensure student safety.

Neighboring businesses do not like cars taking space in their lots and students are not to be dropped off on the east side of the lot or the south side of the school. Thank you for following our procedures and modeling for your child that following directions is important,

Students will be required to pay for meals again starting with the 2022-2023 school year. NO MATTER WHAT, YOUR CHILD WILL RECEIVE FOOD DURING LUNCH/BREAKFAST - THEY WILL NOT BE TURNED AWAY. We will be using MySchoolBucks.com as a convenient way of loading money into your child's account. You will also be able to bring cash or check.

Breakfast is served at Lakeview from 7:10am-7:40am. If you have any questions please call the main office at (405)265-1342. Thank you!
