8th Grade Students Meet With MHS Counselors
On Thursday, February 13th, our 8th grade students met with the Muskego High School Counselors. The 8th grade team did a wonderful job preparing the 8th graders for this day! The high school counselors were very impressed that students were so prepared for their meetings.
Middle School Track and Field
Track and field is a co-curricular sport for 7th and 8th graders at Lake Denoon Middle School. Any 7th & 8th grade students who are interested are asked to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 25th right after school in Ms. Rilling's room (100) Please have your student picked up promptly from the meeting at 3:40. If your student is unable to attend this meeting, they must send an email to Coach Rilling (elizabeth.rilling@muskegonorway.org) or Coach Berger (phil.berger@muskegonorway.org) in order to get the information needed to participate in the sport.
FabLab Is Back - 7th & 8th Grade Students
Fab Lab (short for Fabrication Lab) is an after school club offered at Lake Denoon throughout the school year and is advised by Mr. Todd Sobczyk (Tech Ed Teacher). Fab Lab will create 4 different projects, each geared to a different grade level or grade band. All grade levels will have an opportunity to participate in Fab Lab sometime throughout the school year.
Our third project is for 7th and 8th grade students. These students will create earrings and/or fishing lures. During this time students will use the laser machines, power sanders, band saws, and paint/stain.
Fab Lab will be held from 3:15 - 4:15 on February 24th, 25th, March 3rd, and 4th in the LDMS woodshop. Please only sign up if you are committing to meeting every single club meeting, as the projects will take all 4 days to design and create. Please arrange for your own transportation and prompt pick up at 4:15.
This no fee club is limited to the first 20 students that sign up. Please sign up here. You will receive an email confirming your participation and next steps.

Timberwolf Study Den Sign-Up
Timberwolf Study Den is an after-school club held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Rappis' room from 3:05 to 4:00 PM. It provides a quiet, focused environment for students to complete homework, with the possibility of receiving additional help. Each session is supervised by two advisors, along with National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) volunteers, who are available to assist when they are familiar with the content. Club Expectations: If students are interested, they should fill out this form with the date(s) they plan on attending so that advisors know how many students to expect. There's also a spot to indicate whether or not they will be looking for help with any homework. This will help us to pair up students with a teacher or older student who may know the content best. If you have any questions regarding this club, please reach out to Nikki Kamperschroer at nicole.kamperschroer@muskegonorway.org.
