Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year
Dear Meadow Point Families,
Thank you for your partnership and for trusting us with your children. We had a wonderful time welcoming them back to school this past week. The energy and excitement was an unforgettable experience for us. On Friday we had our first whole school assembly and it was a great success. In addition Ms. Folker and I had grade level meetings to share behavior and safety expectations with our students. Our students are so amazing and we are grateful to have them here.
Thank you to our 1st and 2nd grade families for your patience on Tuesday as we navigated our controlled dismissal due to lightning in the area. Our priority is student safety, and as a district we have certain guidelines that we must follow to ensure the safety of our students.
This week we have our first PTCO meeting, please join us on Wednesday (8/21) in our school library at 5:30. On Thursday morning at 8am we will have Coffee with the principal in the school library please come by to share some time with us.
Family Connection meetings have started, if you haven't done so please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule your meeting. Family Connection Meetings are a great opportunity for your child's teacher to learn about their students from the people who know them best, you!
We look forward to seeing you soon and partnering together to make this a successful year for our students!
In Partnership,
Gabriela Zuno, Principal

Safety
In order to ensure the safety of Meadow Point we would like to remind families about the following procedures we have in place.
Raptor System:
At the end of last year, the district implemented the Raptor System here at Meadow Point. Before being buzzed into the building, you will need to present your ID to the Raptor located in the vestibule. Once inside, please stop at the front office to check in with our staff! In addition to this new system, we are asking that families work with their teachers to schedule a time if they would like to visit their child's classroom or meet with the teacher. If you are dropping something off for your child, you can leave it on the table in the vestibule, and we will deliver it to your child's classroom. If your child is running late, a staff member will ensure they make it safely to class!
Fire Lane/Parking Lot:
A friendly reminder that the fire lane is to remain clear at all times. This means that parking your car in this area (even if you are coming in quickly) is strictly prohibited. We need to ensure that emergency vehicles have this lane clear so they are able to provide services as quickly as possible.
Families who are using the front parking lot for drop off and pick up, please note that this is a ONE WAY. You will need to enter through the east entrance in order to be going the correct direction.
Drop-off/Pick-up Traffic: Meadow Point has an incredibly small, congested parking lot with access that can be challenging and back up traffic. Please follow the following:
â—Ź Watch for kids!!!
â—Ź Be patient
â—Ź Be courteous
â—Ź No cell phone use- avoid distracted driving
Playground after school: Students may access the playground after school hours after they have gone home and return with a parent/guardian as there is no supervision after 2:45pm. In addition, our Kidz Klub has access to the playgrounds after school hours and may ask you and your student to move to a different playground. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to keep the Meadow Point Community safe!

Also, if you plan to volunteer for any school event during the 2024-25 school year, please complete the District Volunteer Application, (this does need to be completed every school year.) Students’ safety is our number one priority and our district has been working diligently to implement thoughtful security purposes. Please note there is an additional layer of security for all entering our school. Please be sure to have your identification card when coming to school as you will need it to enter the building.
