ARRIVAL
Our doors open at 7:15 am.
Students will be required to wear their student ID badges daily. They should wear them with lanyards to school.
Replacement ID badges can be purchased for $5 in the front office.
Car riders – Our doors open at 7:15 am. Please do not drop your child off before this time. There is no adult supervision before 7:15 am. Drop off is at the front of the school. Please do not wait for 7:40 to drop off your child. The line will be long, and your child will be late to school.
(Pegasus will be open for drop off at the back of the school from 7:00 - 7:10 AM )
Bus riders – Everyone riding the bus must be registered to receive transportation and parents are encouraged to download the Versatrans My Stop App to get students' route numbers, bus stops, and estimated arrival and drop off times.
Students will sit in the gym until they are released to go to class at 7:30 AM.
K – 5th students will be able to eat breakfast in the cafeteria daily until 7:40 AM. Remember, STUDENT ID Badges are also students’ “lunch cards”.
We recommend you using the online system, School Café, to add money to lunch accounts. The cafeteria will not provide change when students make cash transactions. The additional funds will be added to the student’s lunch account.
Our goal is to ensure a safe, orderly and efficient car rider pick-up system. Please be patient with staff and each other during the first week of arrival and dismissal.
We appreciate your cooperation!
After-school car pick-up is at the front of the school ONLY. For safety reasons, pull up to the first available airplane. Our goal is to load 9 cars at a time. The airplanes are numbered for organizational purposes only they do not represent grade levels.
Please remember that during afternoon pick up there are 9 reserved parking spots right up front for Denim & Diamond auction winners! Be mindful and courteous as to not park where a RESERVED sign is. Those who have D&D parking please be on time to grab your child, if not you will forfeit your spot and have to get into the pick up line for that day. Interested in the front of the line? Do not miss your chance to bid on a space at our annual Denim & Diamonds Gala. Thank you for supporting Frost PTO!
Transportation changes. Please notify the front office staff of any transportation changes as soon as possible with a written, signed, and dated note from home. The school phone line becomes very busy so if you need to make last minute changes plan accordingly. NO transportation changes may be made after 2:15 p.m.
DISMISSAL
Please be sure your child's teacher knows how your child will be getting home on the first day of school. We will be calling on the first day to confirm transportation. Please give us a number that someone will answer.

To identify your children, place the Frost car pick-up sign please place your car rider tag on the passenger side dashboard, so that the person calling the names of the car riders can see it.
- Write your student(s) First and Last name and only the grade level of the youngest child.
- Please print large and clearly in black marker.
- We will not release any students without an official car rider tag.
- If you do not have the car rider tag, you will need to park in one of the visitor spots and come into the building to check your child out in person. You must present valid identification to check your child out.
- Cars should remain in a SINGLE FILE line and refrain from passing another car. Give clearance to the yellow handicap accessible ramp located at the front of the building.
Bus
LCISD Transportation is highly recommended for all students who are eligible. The buses are the first mode of transportation to leave each day. The buses will load and leave early the first 3 days of school. Parents are advised to arrive at the bus stops early on these days. Give your child’s bus a 15-minute window before and after the published time as drivers work to ensure everyone is accounted for and dropped off at the correct stop. Kinder students will only be released to an authorized adult or an older sibling with a BLUE CARD at the bus stop. If kinder students are approved to be released with an older sibling, the older sibling must have the BLUE CARD with them.
STUDENT ID badges will be scanned each time your child gets on and off the bus, for lunch meals in the cafeteria, and in the library for checking out books.
Daycare
Daycare vans will line up behind LCISD Transportation. Students will be loaded in the daycare vans after the school buses have been loaded and have left. Please let your child’s teacher know the name of the daycare your child will attend as well as the branch if it is a chain daycare, i.e. Kids R Kids Bella Terra.
Transportation changes
Transportation changes MUST be made before 2:15 PM. Please call the office or send a note with your child to indicate a change for the way your child normally goes home. Transportation change notifications are delivered to the classrooms at 2:15 pm. Therefore, we cannot accept changes after 2:15 pm. If you want to check your child out early for appointments, that must be done by 2:15 pm as well. We will not release students for early pick up after 2:15 pm. This information is in the LCISD Student Handbook. Please try and keep the way your child goes home as consistent as possible. This decreases the likelihood of a mistake occurring.
We know it might take a few days to develop a routine that works for your family. It is very important that students’ transportation is consistently set as soon as possible.
Cars are routed through the side parking lot to relieve traffic on Skinner Lane and on Mason. Day Care vans are routed to the rear of the building to load in front of buses. In support of safety, please adhere to the making a right turn only when leaving Frost.
