Cedar Hill High School 2024-25
July 24th, 2024
From the Desk of Principal Joffre
Dear Longhorn Family,
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your patience and support this week as we carefully investigated the online accusations that surfaced. Please know that the safety and well-being of your child remains our top priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment here at Cedar Hill High School.
I also want to acknowledge the tremendous effort and dedication of our staff, who continue to do an outstanding job in supporting and guiding our students. Their hard work and commitment are key to ensuring that we provide the best possible education and experience for your child.
As we move forward, I would like to share some exciting updates from around the campus. We are implementing Exact Path in both Math and English to help address and close any academic performance gaps. Exact Path is an online program that your scholars will be able to use in class and at home. This is an important step in our ongoing effort to support every student in reaching their full potential.
Scholars will begin DCCA tests this week. These are assessments designed to measure their learning in the classwork up to this point in the school year.
Six weeks grades are complete at the end of this week. Please check scholars grades to ensure they are meeting your standards.
Thank you once again for your continued trust and partnership. It’s truly a great day to be a Longhorn!
Best Regards,
Principal Joffre

CHISD COLLEGE FAIR
Our annual CHISD college fair is scheduled for Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill High School. It is open to all CHISD Juniors and Seniors. We have over 120 colleges and universities registered to attend this event.
Registration and your current student ID are required to attend. Only scholars with proof of registration will be released from class for the college fair. Seniors will participate at 9:00 and Juniors at 10:00.
Please register by Tuesday, September 17th to participate. Registration will close at 5:00. Register at https://falltacrao.swoogo.com/Registration
Additionally, when a student registers, they will be granted access to the virtual college fairs as well. The virtual fair booths will be manned by college reps each Friday of each week of the TACRAO schedule and 1 Saturday a month. This is a great resource for your scholar because they will be able to look at the school’s information at any time and in the background, the system is matching them to schools and sending the colleges their information. Once your registration is complete, you will be able to see times and dates for the virtual college fairs.
